    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>This Opportunity</strong></p><p>WSP is currently initiating a search for a Full Time <strong>Safety Representative</strong>&nbsp;for our <strong>Los Angeles, California </strong>office. &nbsp;Be involved in projects with our Construction Management Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges. The position can be located within San Bernardino County and the Inland Empire area.</p><p><strong>Your Impact</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Develops, monitors, and maintains a world class&nbsp;project specific safety program.&nbsp;</li><li>Performs daily inspections of construction sites and oversees inspections of&nbsp;other staff, consultants, and contractors to ensure compliance with safety rules and regulations.&nbsp;</li><li>Assists in the monitoring of the monthly audits&nbsp;of consultant and contractor safety performance relating to accident statistics and compliance.&nbsp;</li><li>Plans, organizes, and performs activities associated with the development and achievement of project specific goals and objectives. Develops and enforces policies,&nbsp;procedures, programs, and standards required to maintain a safe&nbsp;and hazard free environment for all project personnel and the traveling public.&nbsp;</li><li>Identifies elements of consultant's work programs affecting project safety.&nbsp;</li><li>Participates in overseeing the placement and management of insurance for&nbsp;consultants, contractors and subcontractors, and coordinates project construction related insurance matters.&nbsp;</li><li>Prepares and presents written and oral reports to management.&nbsp;</li><li>Directs the work of other staff, consultants&nbsp;and contractors.&nbsp;</li><li>Trains other staff, consultants, and contractors, as required.&nbsp;</li><li>Communicates and implements safety rules, policies,&nbsp;and procedures in support of the agency's safety vision and goals; and maintains accountability for the safety performance&nbsp;of all&nbsp; subordinate employees.&nbsp;</li><li>Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures</li><li>Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs</li></ul><p>#LI-TD1</p><p><strong>Who You Are</strong></p><p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Bachelor's degree -&nbsp;Engineering,&nbsp;Construction Management, or another related field OR equivalent experience</li><li>Minimum of ten (10) years of construction safety management experience&nbsp;</li><li>Valid California Class C driver's license</li><li>Cal-OSHA/OSHA 30-hour training certification &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies &nbsp;</li><li>Must successfully complete and pass WSP’s Motor Vehicle screening</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Professional designation as a Construction Safety &amp; Health Technician (CHST)&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Contractor experience (Safety Manager) highly desirable</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>WSP Benefits</strong></p><p>WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career.
