With plans to launch our aircraft in the US and Dubai, we're now scaling manufacturing and preparing for the launch of our commercial service.</p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Joby Aviation is seeking a <strong>Quality Engineering Technician</strong> who is a highly organized, passionate individual to join our Quality Engineering team. As part of this team, you will be responsible for performing inspections on complex parts and assemblies to ensure that they meet engineering specifications and tolerances.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metrology, dimensional inspection, and quality control. This role will involve close collaboration with quality and manufacturing teams to identify and resolve dimensional issues. The Joby Aviation team is made up of extremely talented, hardworking, proactive, and hands-on individuals, operating in a very fast-paced and rewarding environment. We are looking to expand this team with like-minded individuals looking to make a mark in the transportation industry.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform inspection of parts and assemblies using 3D measurement devices such as CMM, Laser Tracker and/or other devices as well as conventional hardware (calipers, gauges, etc.)</li>\n <li>Create measurement programs using PolyWorks software</li>\n <li>Provide, review, and analyze data and output reports</li>\n <li>Review drawings and provide design feedback for Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)</li>\n <li>Drive improvements in part and assembly dimensional accuracy through tooling maintenance, calibration, and improvements</li>\n <li>Execute trials in support of investigations and measurement system analysis</li>\n <li>Collaborate with engineers and quality control personnel to identify and resolve dimensional issues</li>\n <li>Responsible for performing job duties in a manner consistent with established Joby Policies and Procedures</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Required</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or GED plus at least 2 years of on-the-job experience in a related discipline</li>\n <li>Minimum 2 years of experience in a quality or metrology role utilizing 3D measurement devices</li>\n <li>Fundamental understanding of GD&T and ability to interpret mechanical drawings</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Desired</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Expertise in complex Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing</li>\n <li>Proficient with PolyWorks software</li>\n <li>Experience in the aviation industry</li>\n <li>Knowledge of FAA regulatory requirements</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Additional Information</h2>\n<p>Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $31-$47 per hour.
