Meade, MD and Chambersburg, PA</strong> areas. We are seeking an experienced Project Superintendent. Applicant needs to be able to demonstrate prior supervision experience with earthwork and underground utility projects, with appropriate competent person certifications.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Why work for Harnden Construction Services?</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive salary commensurate with experience</li>\n <li>Veteran owned</li>\n <li>Company-paid Health Benefits</li>\n <li>401(k) Savings and Investment Plan</li>\n <li>Tuition reimbursement programs available to qualifying employees for approved programs</li>\n <li>Additional training opportunities including on the job, online, manufacturer offered training, and more</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong><strong> </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs all work according to OSHA and Harnden Safety policies</li>\n <li>Develops and maintains positive relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.</li>\n <li>Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule, within prescribed budget, and provides advice to solve problems</li>\n <li>Prepares project specific safety-related and work planning documentation as required.</li>\n <li>Documents and submits daily project working conditions, working hours and productions for work activities.</li>\n <li>Coordinates project’s needs for manpower and equipment with General Superintendent.</li>\n <li>Order and schedule project materials for delivery to project site.</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Skills, Education, and Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution OR 3 years of related experience and/or training\n  <ul>\n   <li>A combination of education and experience may be considered</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Valid driver’s license</li>\n <li>Clean Driving record</li>\n <li>Experience operating heavy equipment, especially excavators, bulldozers, GPS experience preferred</li>\n <li>Effective verbal and written communication</li>\n <li>Problem solving and priority setting skills</li>\n <li>Composure and conflict resolution skills</li>\n <li>Basic internet and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) skills</li>\n <li>Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed</li>\n <li>Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Supervisory experience</li>\n <li>OSHA or other relevant safety certificates</li>\n <li>Experience in heavy civil  construction</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Regularly required to stand, walk, climb, balance, bend, and stoop</li>\n <li>Frequently sit, climb</li>\n <li>Frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds</li>\n <li>Specific vision requirements include distance, peripheral, and depth perception</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Work Environment</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions and extreme heat</li>\n <li>Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration</li>\n <li>Regularly exposed to fumes and/or airborne particles</li>\n <li>Noise level is usually loud</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Harnden Construction Services, LLC</strong> prides itself on offering best-in-class site construction services to public, private and government clients throughout Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia.
