At ADS, we foster a culture where diverse perspectives drive better ideas, ensuring every employee feels valued, heard, and empowered to make an impact.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>The Fleet Maintenance Technician is primarily responsible for maintaining fleet equipment and ensuring that all over-the-road equipment is legal, safe and road worthy. The Fleet Maintenance Technician must track all jobs and labor hours utilizing a work order system and must effectively operate within the Fleet R&M budget and optimize performance. This position requires the flexibility to work 40+ hours per week and weekends as required. The Fleet Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Fleet Maintenance Manager or Plant Manager.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Practice proper PPE compliance and maintain a safe working record and environment</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Manage and properly maintain all vehicle maintenance records and files</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Immediately communicate unsafe conditions, acts or injuries to Plant Manager</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Monitor and repair reported issues</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Practice proper forklift operation</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Equipment/trailer repairs</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintain Fleet Maintenance Shop housekeeping</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure PM schedule compliance</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintain and build job skills through company and outside training programs</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Manage operating supplies (availability & cost)</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Manage & maintain fleet work order system</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Schedule and monitor outside vendor work</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Manage tire program (condition & performance)</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Manage R&M costs (fleet & forklift)</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Minor engine repairs</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Accountability for all department man-hours</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Forklift repair and preventive maintenance</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Understand and practice ADS CORE VALUES</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Job Skills:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position should possess the following skills/knowledge:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Certified welder</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Organizational and task prioritization skills</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Certified in brake adjustments</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong time management skills</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Possess current CDL license</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to work with little or no supervision</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Mechanical / Electrical troubleshooting and repair abilities</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Familiarity with DOT operating procedures and requirements</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Educational Requirements:</strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School diploma or equivalent</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Vocational School / industry training</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>ASE Certification</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Experience:</strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>3-5 years experience in field of repair, maintenance, welding</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>The employee will lift and move heavy items, which will require the ability to repeatedly lift 75 pounds to a height of 6 feet</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>The employee will be working specified shifts and moving around at all times, which will require the ability to stand and be mobile for a minimum of 8 continuous hours</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Facilities can be extremely hot or cold at times, so the employee must have the ability to perform physical labor for extended periods of time in temperature extremes</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>The employee will be handling materials daily, which requires the ability to use hands, arms and legs to physically handle and transport finished goods</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>The Position requires full range of body motion on a daily basis including twisting, bending, reaching, squatting and ability to mount/dismount industrial equipment and vehicles</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>EEO Statement</h2>\n<p>ADS supports an inclusive workplace that values diversity of thought, experience, and background.
