Establish a reputation for high quality performance in the region, nationally, and internationally.&nbsp; Assume normal professional duties, such as creative activity, service, and student advising. Contribute to the intellectual and cultural life of the University.</p>\n<p><b>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:&nbsp;</b></p>\n<p>A Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) is required. Applicant must demonstrate evidence of active professional performance in a variety of musical settings.&nbsp;Preference will be given to candidates who have successful college teaching experience and who have a proven track record in recruiting students and working with public schools.&nbsp;Strong consideration will be given to candidates with studio trumpet teaching. Additional consideration will be given to candidates with jazz/commercial experience and the ability to teach courses such as Historical Perspectives, Jazz Techniques, and/or others.
