    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p style=\" margin-bottom: 0in\"><span><strong>ABOUT THE JOB</strong></span></p>\n<p style=\" margin-bottom: 0in\"><span>Olivia Hospital &amp; Clinic is looking for a Registered Nurse to provide care in our Hospice department. This position&nbsp;provides general nursing care to terminally ill patients.&nbsp; The Hospice RN also assists in planning, implementation, documentation and coordination of patient care services to Hospice patients and families and/or significant others.&nbsp; This is a casual, on-call position with no set schedule.</span></p>\n<p style=\" margin-bottom: 0in\">&nbsp;</p>\n<p style=\" margin-bottom: 0in\"><span><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></span></p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;  padding-left: 48px\">\n <li>\n  <p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;  margin-right: 0in;  margin-top: 0in\"><span>Assess, guide, oversee, and develop the implementation of the nursing care plan.</span></p></li>\n <li>\n  <p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;  margin-right: 0in;  margin-top: 0in\"><span>Collaborate with physicians, families, hospice team and patients to develop and implement the appropriate care.</span></p></li>\n <li>\n  <p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;  margin-right: 0in;  margin-top: 0in\"><span>Assist families and/or significant others in understanding patients’ illness.&nbsp;</span></p></li>\n <li>\n  <p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;  margin-right: 0in;  margin-top: 0in\"><span>Teach and evaluate personal care techniques in a home setting.</span></p></li>\n <li>\n  <p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;  margin-right: 0in;  margin-top: 0in\"><span>Provide and supervise the care given to patients and their families, ensuring that it is delivered in a manner that preserves and protects the patient’s autonomy, dignity, and rights.</span></p></li>\n <li>\n  <p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;  margin-right: 0in;  margin-top: 0in\"><span>Document care given to patients so that costs and services provided are recorded accurately.</span></p></li>\n <li>\n  <p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;  margin-right: 0in;  margin-top: 0in\"><span>Help patients and families/significant others understand provisions of Hospice Medicare Benefit.</span></p></li>\n <li>\n  <p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;  margin-right: 0in;  margin-top: 0in\"><span>Act under the direction of the Hospice Director and/or the Physician.</span></p></li>\n <li>\n  <p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;  margin-right: 0in;  margin-top: 0in\"><span>Use models of patient care standards, physician preference, hospice policies and procedures, Minnesota Department of Health Guidelines, CDC, CMS, and OSHA standards.<span>&nbsp; </span>Also use safe methods of handling medical equipment and supplies.</span></p></li>\n <li>\n  <p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;  margin-right: 0in;  margin-top: 0in\"><span>Oversee the care delivered by the hospice aide.</span></p></li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in\">&nbsp;</p>\n<p style=\" margin-bottom: 0in\"><span><strong>ABOUT YOU</strong></span></p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc\">\n <li style=\" margin-bottom: 0in\"><span>1+ year of nursing practice experience</span></li>\n <li style=\" margin-bottom: 0in\"><span>Graduated from an accredited school of nursing with an associate’s degree in nursing</span></li>\n <li style=\" margin-bottom: 0in\"><span>Current RN licensure with the State of Minnesota</span></li>\n <li>\n  <p style=\" margin-bottom: 0in\"><span>BLS/CPR Certification</span></p></li>\n <li>\n  <p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;  margin-right: 0in;  margin-top: 0in\"><span>Ability to manage emergency situations appropriately</span></p></li>\n <li>\n  <p style=\" margin-bottom: 0in\"><span>Ability to act and make decisions independently based on the values of Olivia Hospital &amp; Clinic</span></p></li>\n <li>\n  <p style=\" margin-bottom: 0in\"><span>Strong critical thinking skills</span></p></li>\n <li style=\" margin-bottom: 0in\"><span>Effective communication skills</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\" margin-bottom: 0in\">&nbsp;</p>\n<p style=\" margin-bottom: 0in\"><span><strong>ABOUT OLIVIA HOSPITAL &amp; CLINIC</strong></span></p>\n<p style=\" margin-bottom: 0in\"><span>Located in west central Minnesota, Olivia Hospital &amp; Clinic is one of the leading employers in Renville County.
