    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position Summary:</span><br>The Urgent Care is currently seeking a qualified and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our clinical team. This position requires flexibility and a willingness to travel between our clinic locations across the Greater New Orleans area.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>The ideal candidate will be an experienced and motivated provider with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, walk-in clinic environment.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide direct patient care, including assessments, physical exams, evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment</li>\n<li>Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including x-rays, EKGs, and laboratory studies</li>\n<li>Perform common urgent care procedures such as laceration repair, incision and drainage, splinting, and wound care</li>\n<li>Prescribe appropriate medications and develop treatment plans consistent with current medical guidelines</li>\n<li>Accurately document all patient encounters and maintain timely electronic medical records</li>\n<li>Communicate effectively with patients regarding their diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care</li>\n<li>Collaborate with supervising physicians and clinic teams to ensure continuity of care</li>\n<li>Rotate between multiple clinic locations as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program</li>\n<li>Current Louisiana licensure as a PA or NP</li>\n<li>Certification by NCCPA (for PAs), or certification by ANCC or AANP (for NPs – FNP required)</li>\n<li>A minimum of two (2) years of experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, family medicine, or primary care (three years preferred)</li>\n<li>Current BLS/CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications</li>\n<li>Current DOT Certification (FMCSA Medical Examiner Certification) is a plus</li>\n<li>Active DEA registration and state prescriptive authority (or ability to obtain)</li>\n<li>Proficiency in minor procedures and interpreting diagnostic test results</li>\n<li>Excellent communication, clinical reasoning, and patient engagement skills</li>\n<li>Spanish language proficiency is a plus</li>\n<li>Ability and willingness to commute to all The Urgent Care clinic locations as needed</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred Competencies:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, and standard billing/coding practices</li>\n<li>Familiarity with EMR systems and digital documentation workflows</li>\n<li>Strong organizational and time-management skills</li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and within a collaborative clinical environment</li>\n<li>Commitment to professional development and continuous learning</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About The Urgent Care:</span><br>The Urgent Care is a mission-driven healthcare provider with multiple locations throughout the Greater New Orleans area.
