    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Position Summary:</strong></p><p>This position directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering project within area of assigned responsibility by performing the following duties.</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></p><ul><li>Conceptual design of new products and ideas to improve existing products&nbsp;</li><li>Work within STC Minor Change Agreement to maintain existing legacy product data</li><li>Create and track schedules using Microsoft Project, or equivalent</li><li>Manage projects from initial drawing release to liaison support and product delivery</li><li>Maintain metrics to track budget and schedule requirements</li><li>Manage components of R&amp;D projects</li><li>Manage prototype construction and testing</li><li>Create R&amp;D proposals for U.S. government and private industry funding&nbsp;</li><li>Research vendors &nbsp;</li><li>Develop Return on Investment and business case analysis&nbsp;</li><li>Create and present concepts/products to internal and external customers</li><li>Manage the design, purchase, assembly and testing of prototypes&nbsp;</li><li>Create test plans, conduct testing and documenting results</li><li>Technical presentations to internal and external customers&nbsp;</li><li>Executing components of design projects</li><li>Product definition and requirements development&nbsp;</li><li>Creating and validating new designs (modeling/drafting/BOM creation)&nbsp;</li><li>Creating and presenting concepts/products to internal and external customers coordinating with internal customers</li><li>Materials research and selection to support design requirements</li><li>Qualification test plan/report creation and management</li><li>Manufacturing liaison support&nbsp;</li><li>Coordinates preparation and delivery of project deliverables, design documents, and bid packages.</li><li>Reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.</li><li>Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.</li><li>Develop and maintain engineering standard work.</li><li>Acts as a mentor and provides feedback for lower level engineers</li><li>Participates in peer technical reviews and final design sign-off</li><li>Participate in project bids and proposals for bid hours and technical compliance</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Job Specifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and multitask</li><li>Excellent organization skills with strong attention to detail</li><li>Excellent teamwork skills and high degree of initiative required</li><li>Excellent communication both written and verbal</li><li>Work independently and possess a high level of self-motivation and initiative</li><li>Working knowledge of FAA and MIL testing standards</li><li>Experience with FAA and military certification</li><li>Must be proficient with MS Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)</li><li>Experience in SolidWorks and Enterprise PDM, or equivalent</li><li>Working knowledge of aerospace materials and standards</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Education, Certifications and Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>BS degree in Mechanical or Aerospace&nbsp;</li><li>10&ndash;20 years&rsquo; experience&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Physical Demands and Work Environment:</strong></p><p>Working conditions are normal for that of a manufacturing/machine shop/office environment.&nbsp;</p><p>All employees are expected to adhere to Company safety policies and wear personal protective equipment when exposed to work areas or performing tasks where it is required.</p><p>Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
