    "description": "<p><span style=\"color: rgb(149, 165, 166); font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">project architect - healthcare</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: rgb(247, 150, 70); font-size: 14pt\">SUMMARY</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">SAA is seeking a passionate and committed Healthcare Project Architect to join a highly collaborative and dynamic Healthcare Team with tremendous opportunities for growth.  The ideal individual will have 10+ years of experience and knowledge of healthcare architecture planning and design, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.   You are capable of leading a healthcare team and making client presentations across all phases of small to mid-size projects, including strong technical &amp; project knowledge, and delivering exceptional healthcare projects on time and on budget.  </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: rgb(247, 150, 70); font-size: 14pt\">RESPONSIBILITIES</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">(Include the following, other duties may be assigned)</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Lead team and client through programming &amp; design through construction administration of ambulatory healthcare facilities, on-campus and skilled nursing facilities.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Develop and maintain strong client relationships.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Responsible for deploying resources to ensure that the design process flows smoothly, acting as the primary liaison between the team and the client to bring the design, schedule, budget and scope of work to completion.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Concurrently implement and manage the design of several small to mid-size projects.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Collaborate and consultative in approach, working effectively with internal and external resources.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Has a complete understanding of sequencing and coordination of healthcare project-related MEP and structural engineering as well as all vendor contracts.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Understands the lease transaction process and SAA’s role in the process.  Current working relationships within the local Healthcare Real Estate community.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Facilitates firm and project goals of excellent customer service, design, &amp; execution with respect &amp; integrity.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><br></span><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: rgb(247, 150, 70); font-size: 14pt\">SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES </span></span></p>\n<p>Depending on experience and possible concurrent assignment to Project  Architect role, may directly supervise up to 8 employees in the department.  If so, carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: rgb(247, 150, 70); font-size: 14pt\">QUALIFICATIONS</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: rgb(247, 150, 70); font-size: 14pt\">EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE </span></span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><br></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or Bachelor’s of Architecture (B.Arch) from college or university or 10 years’ progressive relevant experience and training or equivalent combination of education and experience</li>\n<li><span>10+ years’ of relevant experience</span></li>\n<li><span>Professional Architectural License (CA) preferred</span></li>\n<li><span>Advanced credentials desired (CHID, ACHA, EDAC, LEED, WELL, Fitwel, etc.)</span></li>\n<li><span>Proven experience with HCAI/OSHPD-3/OSHPD-1 construction/design process, and knowledgeable about the different healthcare segments, including institutional, ambulatory, and business occupancy environments, inpatient and outpatient</span></li>\n<li><span>Intimate knowledge and understanding of FGI, IBC and NFPA as applicable to healthcare projects</span></li>\n<li><span>Familiar with current trends of healthcare delivery, emerging technology, various diagnostic modalities, and it’s impact on new concepts of patient and staff flow as it relates to medical planning</span></li>\n<li><span>Demonstrates responsiveness to the technical implications of design decisions</span></li>\n<li><span>Excellent management, organizational, negotiation, communications skills, and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal</span></li>\n<li><span>Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Excellent administrative, organizational and time management skills</span></li>\n<li><span>Expertise in building relationships, fostering trust, and dealing effectively with a wide range of individuals and work in a team environment</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to effectively perform in a fast paced, deadline driven environment</span></li>\n<li><span>Working knowledge of REVIT and CAD preferred</span></li>\n<li><span>Intermediate MS Office application skills</span></li>\n<li><span>Lifelong learner eager to share knowledge and mentor team members</span></li>\n<li><span>Knowledge of federal, state and local building administrative codes relating to building projects</span></li>\n<li><span>Extensive knowledge of architectural and interiors principles/practices that include modern architectural methods and background on solving architectural design and construction problems</span><br><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: rgb(237, 125, 49); font-size: 14pt\">LIFE AT SAA</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(43, 46, 47)\">At our heart, we are a creative firm, and we have fun with what we do.
