By effectively supporting the surgical team, the Mohs Technician contributes significantly to the overall success of skin cancer treatments and patient satisfaction.</p><p>We are seeking per diem help in our locations.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>Completion of a Mohs technician training program or equivalent experience.</li><li>Certification in basic life support (BLS).</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Experience working in a dermatology or surgical setting.</li><li>Certification as a Mohs technician from a recognized professional organization.</li><li>Knowledge of histology and pathology.</li></ul><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Prepare and process tissue specimens for Mohs surgery, ensuring accurate and timely results.</li><li>Assist the surgeon during the procedure by providing necessary instruments and maintaining a sterile field.</li><li>Perform quality control checks on equipment and materials to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.</li><li>Document and maintain accurate records of procedures, patient information, and specimen handling.</li><li>Communicate effectively with patients and their families to provide information and support throughout the surgical process.</li></ul><p><strong>Skills:</strong></p><p>The required skills for a Mohs Technician include strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure, as the technician must ensure that specimens are processed accurately and efficiently.
