This role assists in the recycling process by operating mobile car crushing equipment.</p><h2 style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Key Responsibilities</h2><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Inspects mobile equipment to ensure it is safe and in good working condition</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Loads, unloads and sorts material as needed on customer site</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Inspect cars to ensure they meet safety and environmental standards prior to crushing &amp; delivering to shredder yards</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Operate wheel loaders/skid loaders to feed crusher safely</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Works with yard management/dispatch to have trucks pick up additional crushed carloads at other crushing sites/customers</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Responsible for basic maintenance on machinery &amp; report daily log sheets</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Responsible for reporting hours worked weekly</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Responsible for turning in credit card receipts weekly</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Safely operates mobile shear, magnet or grapple</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Other responsibilities as assigned</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\"><strong>Safety</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Must wear all necessary PPE while working, or while in the yard. Follows company safety standards at all times. Failure to follow safety standards, may result in loss of position.</li></ul></div><h2 style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Qualifications</h2><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">High school diploma or GED required. Prior experience operating equipment including forklifts, wheel loaders, bobcats, stationary balers or shears, etc. required. Must be able to lift a minimum of 30-50 lbs and 100+lbs on 2-person lift.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Must be able to effectively interact with customers and vendors. Individual must be willing to learn, be adaptable and be self-motivated.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Position is on the road including overnight travel. Must have a clean driving background, criminal background, clean credit check and pass a drug test.
