About the Role: The IT Support Assistant provides first-level technical support to faculty, staff, and students, ensuring a smooth and reliable day-to-day technology experience within a collaborative school environment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, supporting classroom instruction and event technology (including A/V systems), and managing device lifecycle processes such as setup, repairs, and loaner distribution. The successful candidate will be customer-focused, dependable, and highly organized, with strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. They will track and resolve support requests while maintaining accurate documentation and inventory records, and collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors to maintain and continuously improve technology services across the school. Who We Are Looking For: We are looking for a motivated and service-oriented individual with prior help desk or school IT experience and a strong foundation in supporting macOS environments or MDM platforms. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with A/V systems, school events, or makerspace equipment, along with a high school diploma or equivalent. They are patient, approachable, and an effective communicator, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks through to completion. Self-motivated and adaptable, they work confidently both independently and collaboratively, demonstrating curiosity, sound judgment, and a commitment to continuous learning and growth. A natural problem-solver, they think creatively and provide confident one-on-one support and training, while showing a genuine interest in educational technology and student success. Above all, they embody a collaborative and respectful approach, take ownership of their work, deliver high-quality results, and remain flexible and courageous in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
