The facility’s purpose is to help stabilize symptoms of substance use disorder (SUD) and create a smoother transition to an outpatient program or aftercare services.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Mission Statement:  </span></span><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">It is our commitment to provide integrated behavioral health treatment through evidence-based, high-quality clinical care for individuals, families, and communities experiencing Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders and empower those on their individual pathways to success. </span></em></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Vision Statement:  </span></span><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Our company is a national leader that provides innovative substance use disorder services through the development of accessible treatment centers to those in need.  We use an individualized, person-centered approach while engaging with collaborative community partners to ensure the full continuum of care while eliminating gaps in treatment and providing a comprehensive approach of assisting individuals to engage in a healthy, purposeful, and fulfilling life. </span></em></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Position Description:  </span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">The Peer<strong> Recovery Support Specialist</strong></span> - <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Behavioral Health Technician</span> serves as a personal guide, and liaison for individuals with substance use disorder.  The position supports clients by assisting them with identifying treatment needs, developing, maintaining, and monitoring individual treatment plans, and supporting clients to remain in treatment. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Duties and Responsibilities Include:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Provides a complete and comprehensive orientation for new clients to program rules, handbook, expectations, treatment plan and areas needed for assistance within the first 48 hours of admission.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Provides educational groups to help clients regain skills needed to reenter the community and to improve psychoeducation related to clients’ needs. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Process clients following intake protocols into residential treatment. Complete all intake forms on admission of all clients, including orientation form, as requested.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Administer Urine Analysis (UA); perform proper storage of the sample; accurately complete information in the system; assure proper transferring of UA sample to the appropriate testing authority.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Create current progress notes (as assigned).</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Perform all client day-to-day duties including assisting clients with ADLs.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Oversee clients' recreational activities, transport clients to A.A. meetings, medical appointments, and other functions as requested by supervisor.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Organizes and facilitates specific recreation, physical fitness, and appropriate leisure activities.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Maintain detailed notes of all incidents occurring during the shift and complete the appropriate reports promptly</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Attend and participate in in-service training and other training as directed by management.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Perform receptionist duties, as needed, and relay telephone messages promptly to various staff members and clients.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Provide oversight to clients during housekeeping, meal service, and various daily activities. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Perform related work as assigned, including assisting staff and clients with laundry, dishes, housekeeping, and garbage disposal.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Identify verbal and non-verbal cues for potential aggressive behavior and apply de-escalation techniques to the situation.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Provide information to the treatment team to inform treatment decision making.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Link clients to available resources in the community post-treatment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Assist clients in crisis situations involving social, emotional, health, and other problems.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Promote and adhere to the workplace values of integrity, respect, trust, teamwork, quality, and excellence</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Other duties as assigned</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Education and Experience, Certificates, and Licenses:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Certified Peer Recovery Coach or Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist Required</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">High school diploma or equivalent and 1+ years of relevant experience may be substituted for degree</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Experience and training working in the 12 Step Field and/or Dual Diagnosis treatment strongly preferred.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Must have or, within 30 days from hire, be able to obtain current First Aid and CPR card.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px; font-weight: bold\">Valid driver’s license required.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>",
