The cost of what we buy, the reliability of who we buy it from, and the efficiency of how we manage it all directly affects our ability to grow, price competitively, and deliver for our customers.</p><p>We already have a department in place. The foundation is built. What we need now is a leader who can take it further, elevate the team, sharpen the strategy, tighten the operations, and bring measurable value to the business year over year. You will manage a broad spend portfolio including raw materials sourced globally, capital equipment, logistics, and a resale accessories line, with oversight of a cross-border team spanning the US and Canada.</p><p><strong>WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS TO DELIVER</strong></p><p>This is what great looks like in this position:</p><ul><li><strong>Quality and value</strong>: we buy smart. Managing supplier risk, building dual-source options for critical materials, and anticipating disruptions before they become problems is a core expectation of this role.</li><li><strong>Strategic supplier relationships</strong>: our key vendors are partners, not just transactions. You will own those relationships at the senior level, hold suppliers accountable to performance standards, and negotiate agreements that protect our interests as we grow.</li><li><strong>A high-performing team</strong>: your people need a leader who challenges them, teaches them, and gives them the tools to get better. We expect the team to be stronger every year because of your leadership.</li><li><strong>Operational discipline</strong>: procurement processes, systems, and standards need to be consistent across both countries. No workarounds, no exceptions that slow us down or create hidden costs.</li><li><strong>Forward visibility</strong>: regular, structured reporting to executive leadership on costs, risks, savings, and market trends. We make faster and better decisions when procurement is ahead of the curve, not reacting to it.</li><li><strong>Technology &amp; automation:</strong> Procurement generates a significant amount of data. We are looking for a leader who can leverage AI, automation, and modern procurement technologies to transform that data into actionable insights, improve forecasting and supplier management, and increase the overall effectiveness of the function.</li></ul><p><strong>WHO YOU ARE</strong></p><p>You are a procurement leader with a strong track record, someone who has been in complex environments, made tough calls, and delivered results. You know how to assess a situation, weigh the options, and move forward with confidence. On day-to-day decisions you do not hesitate, and when it comes to the big calls, you come to the table prepared, with a clear recommendation and the data to back it up.</p><p>You are also a builder of people.           "text": "<p><strong>WHAT YOU BRING</strong></p><ul><li>10+ years of procurement experience, including at least 4 years leading a team — manufacturing, building materials, or a related industry preferred.</li><li>Proven ability to deliver cost savings, manage complex supplier relationships, and build procurement structure that scales.</li><li>Experience working across the US and Canada and sourcing from international markets (Europe, Asia, and beyond).</li><li>A decisive leadership style — you make well-informed decisions quickly and stand behind them.</li><li>Strong communication skills with senior leadership — you translate procurement complexity into clear business insight.</li><li>Comfortable with data, procurement systems, and genuinely interested in using technology — including AI and automation tools — to make the team more effective.</li><li>Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.</li><li>Bilingual English / French required (English is required to serve our customers and suppliers based in the USA &amp; outside QC).&#xa0;</li><li>~15% travel across North America.&#xa0;</li></ul><p><strong>NICE TO HAVE</strong></p><ul><li>Background in concrete manufacturing, building materials, or hardscape products.</li><li>Experience with Microsoft Power Platform or AI-assisted procurement tools.</li><li>Familiarity with resale or distribution procurement models.</li></ul>",
