The ideal candidate will have at least four to nine years of experience, know how to balance compassion and diligence, thrive in both collaborative and independent efforts, possess confidence and has an entrepreneurial spirit. This position involves representing employees in legal claims related to Washington wage and hour laws. Actual salary offers may vary based on a number of factors including but not limited to training, skill sets, education, licensure and certifications, practice area, market data, internal equity and experience. In addition to providing competitive compensation, Justice Law Corporation offers a range of benefits based on experience and performance that are favorably comparable to market standards in the Western region. </span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Duties and Responsibilities: </span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><br><span>Responsibilities include defending and taking depositions, drafting meet and confer letters to opposing counsel regarding discovery issues, arguing motions, drafting motions (including discovery and dispositive motions), conducting arbitrations, preparing for and attending mediations, and preparing cases for trial; </span></li>\n<li><br><span>Perform in-depth legal research;</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Communicate with outside parties such as attorneys, employers, law enforcement agents, administrative agencies, etc.; </span></li>\n<li><br><span>Managing all aspects of cases, ensuring all deadlines are met, staying organized and multi-tasking to achieve priorities in a fast-paced environment; </span></li>\n<li><br><span>Aid in the expansion of our thriving California practice; and</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Additional duties as assigned.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Job Requirements:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><br><span>Education and Licensing: JD Required;</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Experience: Minimum 4-9 years relevant legal experience, including substantial experience litigating and managing complex cases; </span></li>\n<li><br><span>Expertise in wage and hour Law;</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Litigation Skills: including experience with all stages of the litigation process from pre-litigation investigation through mediation, trial and appeals, are essential. This includes drafting pleadings, motions and briefs, conducting depositions and arguing in court (when needed); </span></li>\n<li><br><span>Communication and Advocacy: excellent oral and written communication skills are essential for effectively representing clients, negotiating settlements, and presenting complex legal arguments; and</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Able to work effectively independently or within a team.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span>Please include a cover letter detailing your commitment to advocacy.
