Together, we are EXP.</p><p><br>Are you ready to design your future?</p><p>Be our next&nbsp;<strong>Geotechnical Field Technician!</strong></p><p><br><strong>Your work environment at EXP</strong></p><p>Under the leadership of the Project Manager in our Markham Office, the Geotechnical Field Inspection and Testing Technician will participate in the conception and development of various residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects in the Geotechnical as well as Construction Inspection and Testing Field.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What a day at EXP has in store for you</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type:disc;\"><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Perform concrete slump and air test as well as cast test cylinders on the field.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Perform field soil compaction testing with soil density gauge.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Monitor the placement of soil and granular materials, and carry out compaction testing as part of trench backfill, engineered fill or general backfill or grading operations.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Carry out subgrade inspections.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Monitor the placement of asphalt pavement, including sampling and compaction testing.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Perform soil and aggregate sampling for laboratory testing.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Perform footing and reinforcing bar inspections.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Monitor the installation of caissons, piles and shoring system.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Properly identify/classify soil types from samples.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Perform soil and granular proctor tests.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Perform granular sieve tests.<br>&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>What your experience looks like</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type:disc;\"><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Civil Technician or Technology Diploma or Undergraduate Degree in Natural Sciences (Earth Science, Environmental Science, or Engineering).</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Valid driver's license and own reliable vehicle is MANDATORY.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Past work experience in same field preferred but not mandatory.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Strong organizational and time management skills as well as attention to detail.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Strong communication skills.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Strong organizational and time management skills as well as attention to detail.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Ability to work well under pressure, individually and in a team environment.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">This work requires carrying/transporting concrete testing equipment, concrete cylinders, soil density gauge and soil samples in construction sites.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>This job posting is for an existing position vacancy within our organization.</p><p>The salary range for this role is $44,850-$48,750K. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's skill set, experience, certifications, and geographic location.
