    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Hiring preferences: &nbsp;ICU experience strongly preferred. &nbsp;</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left: 0in;\"><strong>Location:</strong> Mary Brigh 7DE (MB7DE), Thoracic/Vascular (Intensive Care)</p><p style=\"margin-left: 0in;\"><strong>Patient Care Type:&nbsp;</strong>A 18-bed intensive care unit which provides care for a diverse patient population including thoracic, vascular, orthopedic, plastics, urology, ENT, oral/facial, IR-lytic procedures, status 1A heart patients, OB, and occasionally CV Surgery and medical patients. This patient population requires nursing support for short-term postoperative care averaging two to three days. Long-term care occurs occasionally for complex multisystem failure. The multidisciplinary team of care providers focuses on collaboration to support Mayo’s vision.</p><p style=\"margin-left: 0in;\"><strong>Bed #:</strong> 18</p><p style=\"margin-left: 0in;\"><strong>Nursing Team Roles:</strong>&nbsp;Nurses work in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to provide the best nursing care while monitoring respiratory/hemodynamic status, preventing skin breakdown and infection, managing acute and chronic pain, educating patients, and discharge planning.</p><p><strong>For New Graduate Nurses:</strong> Please apply through the Nurse Residency Program posting, which is specifically designed to support new graduate RNs.
