    "description_html": "<p><strong>Position Objective:&nbsp;</strong></p><p>To research and coordinate a variety of special projects and local legislative projects related to PETA’s work to promote animal liberation to the masses and make a meaningful impact&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Primary Responsibilities and Duties:</strong></p><p>• Work with the President and Manager of Strategic Initiatives on a range of projects to further animal rights</p><p>• Coordinate local legislative initiatives, multimedia projects, and other outreach projects for PETA’s campaigns, working in collaboration with other departments</p><p>• Conduct research on a wide range of topics</p><p>• Draft letters and other written materials to support special projects and strategic initiatives</p><p>• Develop, execute, and assist with initiatives to push campaigns into the media spotlight and the public consciousness</p><p>• Attend events and protests as needed</p><p>• Travel to attend and speak at city council meetings as needed</p><p>• Interact professionally and diplomatically with activists, donors, corporate contacts, elected officials, and others</p><p>• Professionally advocate PETA's positions on issues</p><p>• Perform any other duties as assigned by the President or Manager of Strategic Initiatives&nbsp;</p>",
