Horizons is hiring Support Coaches</span> to provide one-on-one job coaching and employment support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In this role, you’ll help people gain confidence, master new skills, and thrive in inclusive community settings.</p>\n<p>For nearly 40 years, Horizons has fostered dignity, connection, and inclusion across Connecticut. As a Support Coach, you’ll build real relationships while empowering individuals to achieve their personal and professional goals.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You’ll Do:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide direct job coaching and employment support, teaching and modeling tasks at job sites.</li>\n<li>Balance the needs of the individual with the expectations of employers, ensuring both are met with respect and accountability.</li>\n<li>Support individuals in working toward their personal goals as identified in their Individual Service Plan (ISP).</li>\n<li>Monitor performance and help individuals meet job responsibilities successfully each day.</li>\n<li>Administer medications according to physician’s orders and DDS guidelines.</li>\n<li>Communicate clearly and respectfully, always centering the individual’s voice and privacy.</li>\n<li>Encourage independence while remaining responsive and compassionate during moments of challenge.</li>\n<li>Participate in training, complete documentation thoughtfully, and keep your manager informed of relevant developments.</li>\n<li>\n</li></ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Why This Role Matters:</span></p>\n<p>Your guidance helps build confidence, skills, and purpose.
