    "description": "<p><strong>POSITION SUMMARY:</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<p>The Mechanical HVAC Foreman will participate and oversee the installation or maintenance and inspection of HVAC, Utility and Process piping systems including Sub-Contractors.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Regular attendance at assigned location; may include A/Z office or other project site;</li>\r\n\t<li>Act as a team leader in the execution of mechanical work safely and with the objective of constructing a best in class product;</li>\r\n\t<li>Oversee and audit site safety and quality control programs;</li>\r\n\t<li>Ensure all site safety work permits as defined within the Project Specific Safety Program are acknowledged and adhered to;</li>\r\n\t<li>Coordinate interface between project management and site operation participants in the execution of construction services;</li>\r\n\t<li>Oversee and coordinate any Sub-Contractors work that may be working under the Mechanical Division, ie: Sheet Metal, Building Controls, Insulator, etc.</li>\r\n\t<li>Confirm the design intent with architectural, engineering, and consultants in accordance with Standard Project Control requirements;</li>\r\n\t<li>Coordinate field trade activities in accordance with the project schedule and help with developing the three week look ahead coordination schedules with all appropriate Project Team Participants;</li>\r\n\t<li>Attend all trade contractor weekly coordination meetings with Project Manager and/or Project Engineer;</li>\r\n\t<li>Coordinate equipment and specialty material deliveries and staging requirements;</li>\r\n\t<li>Assist with coordination and scheduled shut-downs as required to support any associated on-site operational requirements;</li>\r\n\t<li>Support constructability and value management analysis with best industry practices;</li>\r\n\t<li>Assess trade contractor earned value status with Project Management Team for monthly requisitions;</li>\r\n\t<li>Maintain project as-built documentation and site coordination drawings;</li>\r\n\t<li>Establish work completion and punch lists in accordance with established Quality Control and Quality Assurance Programs;</li>\r\n\t<li>Ensure field installation compliance with all technical specifications, approved shop drawings and submittals;</li>\r\n\t<li>Support interface with Client Representatives on pro-active customer centric basis;</li>\r\n\t<li>Complete associated Superintendent project control requirements in accordance to Corporate Standard Operating Practices and Procedures;</li>\r\n\t<li>Support field investigation analysis for potential claim / issue resolution practices with Project Team, as required;</li>\r\n\t<li>Support field close-out, commissioning, and validation requirements as defined with the Project Team;</li>\r\n\t<li>Insure the necessary equipment and materials are always available to support the field team so as to maximize productivity;</li>\r\n\t<li>Supervise and participate in the installations of Heating Hot Water, Chilled Water, Steam, Condensate, Compressed Air, Process Fluids, Chemical, Fuel Oil, Gasses, and other related systems;</li>\r\n\t<li>Works with materials that include carbon steel, stainless steel, plastics, fiberglass, copper, (brazed, soft soldered and pro-press);</li>\r\n\t<li>Perform layout and develop isometric drawings for piping systems;</li>\r\n\t<li>Understand the constructability requirements for installing pre-fabricated piping systems including location of field fit welds, random spool lengths, installation logic, etc.;</li>\r\n\t<li>Measure, cut, thread or bend pipe to required angle using hand or power tools or machines such as pipe cutters, pipe-threading machines or pipe-bending machines;</li>\r\n\t<li>Locate and mark the position of pipe installations, connections, passage holes or fixtures in structures using measuring instruments such as rulers or levels;</li>\r\n\t<li>Test pipes or fixtures for leaks using various methods;</li>\r\n\t<li>Assemble pipe sections, tubing or fittings using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, soldering or brazing equipment;</li>\r\n\t<li>Perform proper fit-up of pipe, fittings and flanges for open root butt welding and socket welding;</li>\r\n\t<li>Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances or fixtures using hand or power tools;</li>\r\n\t<li>Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notify supervisors;</li>\r\n\t<li>Direct helpers or apprentices in appropriate tasks;</li>\r\n\t<li>Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, plans or specifications to determine work details or procedures;</li>\r\n\t<li>Must maintain strict adherence to safety rules and quality;</li>\r\n\t<li>Insure proper site housekeeping is always maintained;</li>\r\n\t<li>Interact with co-workers in an attentive courteous manner;</li>\r\n\t<li>Additional duties as directed by management.</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n",
