Performs patient care functions related to perfusion imaging and stress testing.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>JOB FUNCTIONS:</p><ul><li>Perform functional and/or perfusion rest and stress cardiac studies, including processing images for physician to review.</li><li>Follow radiation safety policy and NRC/State guidelines for handling of radioactive pharmaceuticals, including but not limited to conducting daily surveys of hot lab, exam room, camera and personnel.</li><li>Perform hot lab duties: ordering, receiving, administration and disposal of all radioactive materials in accordance with NRC and state rules and regulations.</li><li>Perform random audits of NMTs image quality control and radiation safety.</li><li>Place IV and heplock for patients in states where state law does not allow the CST/CCT to perform this function</li><li>Call patients with appropriate instructions and answer any question, obtain appropriate consents prior to testing.</li><li>Perform imaging procedures in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Modify techniques as appropriate to patient conditions and situations so that optimum results are achieved.</li><li>Process clinical studies in a timely fashion for prompt results reporting. Notify physicians of abnormal test results for appropriate follow-up.</li><li>Assist in all aspects of stress testing. Monitor patient response to exercise and pharmacologic stress and provide emergency care when indicated. Monitor patients post-stress testing and advise appropriate staff of patient problems.</li><li>Trouble shoots and maintains equipment as required including appropriate calibration to ensure high quality.</li><li>Performs equipment downloads following proper office procedural guidelines and protocols.</li><li>Accurately documents patient care for medical records.</li><li>Perform other duties as needed and required to improve quality and patient satisfaction.</li></ul><p><br></p>",
