These individuals will be responsible for facilitating the initial migrations, version upgrades, customizations, training and other technical support needs of customers using our .NET software suite. </p><p> </p><p>The onsite component of the Technical Consultant position can require up to 75% travel (at company&apos;s expense).</p><p> </p><p>Technical Consultants are also tasked with providing occasional IT support to the company&apos;s Sales and Operations teams as well as some responsibility for the maintenance of our internal servers, databases and networks, and supporting our internally managed website.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Description</p><p> </p><p>Technical Consultants will primarily be responsible for assisting on customer migration projects, providing post-migration technical services &amp; support to customers using our .NET software suite and for providing regular status updates to the team lead and members of management.</p><p> </p><p>Technical Consultants are responsible for the following:</p><p>*           Provide technical services and support to customers using our VB.NET and C# based product suite</p><p>*           Develop and maintain content and functionality for the company&apos;s internally developed Portal/Knowledge Base</p><p>*           Perform occasional network, database and system administration functions including support for the company&apos;s internal hardware, databases and network</p><p>*           Prepare and present technical demonstrations at annual user&apos;s conference</p><p>*           Prepare help file content, training materials, project documentation and support manuals</p><p>*           Assist with Technical Q&amp;A and Proof of Concepts</p><p> </p><p>Experience &amp; Education</p><p> </p><p>Required:</p><p> </p><p>Three or more years&apos; experience with computer programming/application development and/or systems administration a must;</p><p> </p><p>Degree in Computer Science or related field such as CIS or MIS;</p><p>*Equivalent certifications or work experience acceptable</p><p> </p><p>Programming experience with C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET, VBScript/PowerShell;</p><p> </p><p>Experience with SDLC and currently supported versions of Microsoft Visual Studio [Test] Team Foundation Server,</p><p> </p><p>Some experience with currently supported relational database management systems including MS SQL Server, Oracle, and/or DB2;</p><p> </p><p>Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills;</p><p> </p><p>Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to cultural differences and to be comfortable with diversity in the workplace</p><p> </p><p>Ability to work independently or to effectively collaborate with geographically distributed teams; and,</p><p> </p><p>Willingness and ability to travel up to 75%, including domestic and international;</p><p> </p><p>  </p><p>Preferred:</p><p> </p><p>Preferred candidates will also have some basic understanding or experience with:</p><p> </p><p>Installing, configuring and maintaining current versions of VM Ware/Hyper-V, IIS, TCP/IP, Microsoft Windows Server, MS SQL Server or Oracle and Windows Active Directory;</p><p> </p><p>Systems Analysis, Systems Administration and/or Systems Integration</p><p> </p><p>IBM or Unisys Mainframe Technologies (COBOL, Natural, LINC, JCL, WFL, DB2, DMS, ADABAS);</p><p> </p><p>Participating in large, complex, multi-function information technology projects;</p><p> </p><p>Delivering quality service and satisfaction to internal and external customers;</p><p>Bottom Line Requirements:</p><p><br /></p><p>1.  3+ years of experience with computer programming application development or systems administration.</p><p>2.
