This role requires independent judgment, technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering accurate and timely imaging services.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Position Details</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Employment Type: PRN (as needed)</li>\n<li>Schedule: Daytime hours with evening call coverage as needed</li>\n<li>Travel: None required</li>\n<li>Supervisory Responsibilities: None</li>\n<li>Compensation: Commensurate with experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Key Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations accurately and efficiently for all patient populations</li>\n<li>Ensure proper patient positioning and selection of appropriate transducers for each procedure</li>\n<li>Capture and submit high-quality diagnostic images to the Radiologist for interpretation</li>\n<li>Maintain ultrasound equipment and exam rooms in optimal working condition</li>\n<li>Utilize electronic systems, including Meditech, to verify orders and document procedures</li>\n<li>Manage imaging workflow through PACS, including image storage and CD creation</li>\n<li>Exercise independent clinical judgment, initiative, and attention to detail</li>\n<li>Cross-train and maintain competency in sonography practices as needed</li>\n<li>Assist with additional departmental tasks during periods of low patient volume</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Minimum Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Education: Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography program meeting ARRT or equivalent standards</li>\n<li>Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of ultrasound experience preferred; new graduates may be considered</li>\n<li>Certifications:\n<ul>\n<li>Registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) – preferred</li>\n<li>Current CPR certification – required</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Core Competencies</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong technical and imaging skills</li>\n<li>Attention to detail and commitment to diagnostic accuracy</li>\n<li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision</li>\n<li>Effective communication and patient care skills</li>\n<li>Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and safety standards</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Employment Requirements</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Compliance with all hospital policies, including HIPAA, safety standards, and professional conduct</li>\n<li>Willingness to meet vaccination requirements (approved exemptions considered)</li>\n<li>Successful completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening (post-offer)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">How to Apply</span></p>\n<p>Interested candidates should submit:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Completed application</li>\n<li>Resume</li>\n<li>Cover letter (including explanation of any employment gaps)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Equal Opportunity Employer</span></p>\n<p>Ashe Memorial Hospital is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
