Geismer, LA manufacturing facility, has approximately 400 employees.&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></p>\n<p><span><strong>Position Responsibilities:</strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Performs chemical tests and analysis on process and finished product samples following established laboratory methods and procedures.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Analyzes process, cooling tower, and boiler feed water for proper chemical treatment.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Samples and analyzes process and product samples as required.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Performs quality assurance and quality control testing and analyses as required to ensure the accuracy and reliability of analytical results.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Prepares reagents, solutions, and standards as required.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Performs calibration and maintenance of laboratory instrumentation as necessary to assure proper performance.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Monitors and maintains laboratory supply and chemical inventory to assure effective laboratory operation.</span><br><span>Assists in the maintenance of quality management system in the Laboratory. &nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Provides technical support and performs special assignments to support the Lab, Production, Engineering, and other Laboratory Customers.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Assembles laboratory reports; maintains notes on progress of analytical testing; reports analytical observations and findings without deviation; and informs laboratory customers of variances from standards immediately.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Provides First Aid on off-hours and as needed. Meets all requirements of a Medical First Responder.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Provides atmospheric and vessel entry testing for production facilities as needed.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Observes plant and laboratory safety rules and regulations at all times.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Assists in training of laboratory personnel and provides work direction as required.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Assists in laboratory continuous improvement efforts (i.e., process improvement, variation reduction, cycle time reduction, cost reduction).&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Continually works to exceed customer expectations through the effective production and delivery of accurate, precise and reliable results.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Hazardous waste sampling, hazardous waste packaging/loading duties, container marking and labeling, hazardous waste container handling and management, respond to chemical spills and releases, and conduct and document routine inspections</span></li>\n <li><span>Performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as required.&nbsp;</span></li>\n</ul>",
