Greenville University is seeking compassionate and gifted instructors in Economics and Finance for both undergraduate (face-to-face and online) and graduate instruction (online only). The selected candidate must provide evidence of a vibrant Christian faith, clearly understand and internalize the mission of Greenville University, and articulate the value of Christian higher education. The Briner School of Business has built an academically competitive program in a private liberal arts college that prepares graduates to be fluent in the language of business, hone critical thinking and analytic skills, and communicate effectively about opportunities that are discovered. The business program operates with a mission of preparing students to enter the workforce as “roaring lambs”: servants of Christ who lead in establishing ethical culture in the marketplace. IDEAL QUALITIES: demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching, student support, and scholarly activity, ability to integrate technology and experiential learning into coursework, versatile and willing to serve as an integral part of a diversified and active team of business faculty. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Deliver high-quality undergraduate instruction to on campus and online students in the Business program with an emphasis on experiential education. The business program operates with a mission of preparing students to enter the workforce as “roaring lambs”: servants of Christ who lead in establishing an ethical culture in the marketplace. Course topics include Micro and Macroeconomics, Managerial and Corporate Finance. Candidates must: 1. Be well organized and able to present material using a variety of methods; 2. Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to relate complex concepts to diverse audiences, and demonstrated cultural competency. 3. Clearly understand and internalize the mission of Greenville University, and the value of Christian higher education.
