Description
The Osborne Association serves individuals, families, and communities affected by the criminal justice system. Through our programs, we offer opportunities for people to heal from and repair harm, restore their lives, and thrive. We challenge systems rooted in racism and retribution and fight for policies and practices that promote true safety, justice, and liberation.
At Osborne, we are guided by core values and shared beliefs. We honor everyone's capacity to change, celebrate our shared humanity, are united in our pursuit of justice and equity, take all possible steps to keep our commitments and advocate for people and principles with fierce and tenacious determination.
We currently seek a temporary full-time Controller to support our Fiscal and Accounting function. Under the direction of the Vice President of Finance, the Controller facilitates the organization’s accounting and administrative functions. This is a temporary role while we search for our new CFO, and will allow the VP of Finance to focus on other areas during this time. The Controller supervises operations of accounts payable, investments and monthly close. Provides support for the agency’s administrative and purchasing. This position oversees two Accounts Payable staff as well as the Accounting Manager (with a team of two accountants under them). We are looking for someone with a strong accounting background, who knows their way around complex booking entries and audit processes. This position is hybrid based out of our Brooklyn Heights office (elevator building). This is a temporary six-month position that may be extended or concluded earlier than anticipated based on departmental needs.
Salary: $110,000 - $115,000 annually
