Description

ATSNUC, Inc., an Accredited Labs company, is seeking a Lab Technician to join our team at our Manitowoc, WI facility . This is a non-travel, lab-based position focused on the calibration, testing, and maintenance of nuclear measurement instruments, including density gauges and radiation detection equipment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work in a controlled lab environment and takes pride in precision, quality, and following established standards. What You’ll Do – Laboratory Calibration Perform in-lab calibration of nuclear density gauges and Geiger counters Inspect, test, and verify instrument accuracy in accordance with applicable standards Conduct minor troubleshooting and repairs on calibration equipment Document calibration results clearly and accurately in alignment with ISO/IEC 17025 and internal quality requirements Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory workspace Support incoming and outgoing equipment processing, including intake inspection and shipment preparation Equipment You’ll Work With Nuclear density gauges Geiger counters and radiation detection devices Supporting calibration standards and instrumentation General lab measurement and testing equipment Quality & Compliance Follow all radiation safety protocols and company procedures Ensure calibration processes meet regulatory and quality standards Maintain accurate records for audits and customer reporting Support continuous improvement of lab processes and workflows Team & Collaboration Work closely with internal lab staff, quality teams, and leadership Communicate findings, discrepancies, and repair needs clearly Contribute to a collaborative, safety-focused lab environment Continuous Improvement & Growth Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround times Provide feedback to enhance lab processes and customer experience Opportunity to grow into more advanced technical or quality-focused roles as the business expands Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience in a technical, mechanical, or laboratory environment Experience with calibration, testing, or instrumentation preferred Familiarity with radiation detection equipment or nuclear gauges is a plus (training provided if needed) Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 or other quality systems preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office for documentation Ability to follow detailed procedures and work independently in a lab setting Why Join ATSNUC?
