    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Element has an opportunity for a <strong>LIMS Development Lead</strong> to join our growing technology team. This is a <strong>hands-on leadership role</strong> responsible for delivering high-quality LIMS solutions while leading and developing a team of engineers supporting our laboratory systems.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>As a working manager, you will actively contribute to development efforts while providing day-to-day leadership, coaching, and oversight of both internal and contract developers. You will play a key role in building scalable, modern LIMS solutions leveraging a mix of <strong>full-stack development and low-code/no-code platforms</strong>, with a strong focus on the Microsoft ecosystem.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This role partners closely with Product, IT, and laboratory stakeholders to ensure solutions are <strong>scalable, compliant, and aligned to operational needs</strong>.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>This is a hybrid role:</strong> 3 days in our Blue Ash location & 2 days remote </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>Please note: Sponsorship is not offered for this opportunity.</em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<h3><strong>Technical Delivery</strong></h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Design, develop, configure, and support LIMS solutions and system integrations</li>\n <li>Contribute hands-on development across:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Custom/full-stack development</li>\n   <li>Low-code/no-code platforms (e.g., PowerApps)</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Lead technical design decisions and collaborate on solution architecture with Product, BA, and Architecture teams</li>\n <li>Develop integrations between LIMS and enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, data platforms)</li>\n <li>Ensure high standards for code quality, performance, security, and maintainability</li>\n <li>Support troubleshooting, incident resolution, and production support as needed</li>\n</ul>\n<h3><strong>Development Team Leadership</strong></h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead, mentor, and manage a team of LIMS developers, balancing priorities and workload</li>\n <li>Provide technical guidance, coaching, and ongoing performance feedback</li>\n <li>Conduct 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development planning</li>\n <li>Establish and enforce development standards, best practices, and governance</li>\n <li>Support Agile delivery including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and execution</li>\n <li>Partner with Product Owners, Project Managers, and Business Analysts to ensure successful delivery</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Skills / Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)</li>\n <li>8+ years of application development experience</li>\n <li>3–5 years of experience leading or managing development teams</li>\n <li>Proven experience as a <strong>working manager</strong> balancing hands-on development with team leadership</li>\n <li>Experience delivering solutions using both full-stack and low-code/no-code platforms</li>\n <li>Strong background supporting custom or operational systems (LIMS or similar)</li>\n <li>Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments</li>\n <li>Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills</li>\n</ul>\n<h2><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Direct experience with LIMS platforms or laboratory systems</li>\n <li>Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including:\n  <ul>\n   <li>PowerApps</li>\n   <li>Power Automate</li>\n   <li>Dataverse</li>\n   <li>Power BI</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Working knowledge of Azure services and Microsoft 365 / SharePoint</li>\n <li>Experience integrating LIMS with ERP, CRM, or enterprise data platforms</li>\n <li>Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments</li>\n <li>Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and modern application architectures</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Company Overview</h2>\n<p>Element is one of the fastest growing testing, inspection and certification businesses in the world.
