    "description": "<p><span style=\"color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-size: 12pt\">CCIA seeks a Director of Intellectual Property Policy to join its team. The Director will become an integral part of the Association’s topical policy team. </span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:</span><br></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-size: 12pt\">Directing the Association’s IP policy agenda, including working with CCIA member companies and other Association personnel on advocacy and analysis for Association members and in the public on patent, copyright, and trademark- related matters, including articles, posts, papers, and commentary on patent law and policy;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-size: 12pt\">Preparation of filings and briefs in relevant proceedings aimed at advancing the Association’s IP policy advocacy;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-size: 12pt\">Direction and daily management of, and writing for, the Association’s online patent litigation resources;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-size: 12pt\">Acting as spokesperson on IP policy; and</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-size: 12pt\">Supporting the Association’s public and legislative advocacy on IP policy;</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-size: 12pt\">Day-to-day management of the Association’s patent communications efforts, including web and social media presence. This includes rapid and regular production of commentary and analyses, litigation resource management, tracking high-profile litigation, and working with the Association’s information policy team; and</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-size: 12pt\">Coordinating with CCIA member companies and allies in developing and promoting the Association’s IP policy positions.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-style: italic\"><br></span><span style=\"color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-size: 12pt\">Minimum 5 years experience as an IP practitioner, IP policy expert, or equivalent practical experience working in government, industry, or an NGO;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-size: 12pt\">Deep understanding of intellectual property law and policy, IP litigation, and the functions of the USPTO and Copyright Office;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-size: 12pt\">Working knowledge of congressional actions regarding IP policy and its key players.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-size: 12pt\">Self-starting personality and willingness to interact with and work with the media; and</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-size: 12pt\">Excellent writing and communication skills.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Benefits:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-size: 12pt\">CCIA is a collegial, team-based organization that offers a flexible, hybrid work environment with up to two weeks of remote work per calendar year.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-size: 12pt\">CCIA compensation is commensurate with experience.
