    "description": "<h2>Position Summary</h2>\n<p>Acuren is currently recruiting for an Intermediate CP Engineer at our Georgia location.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>If you are seeking a dynamic industrial environment with opportunities for individual growth and learning, this is for you. This position is remote and does not require relocation.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>· Apply knowledge of engineering principles and corrosion theory to execute projects or complete various aspects of projects</p>\n<p>· Perform and supervise over-the-line depth of cover, close interval CP, and coating surveys and conduct associated data evaluation and reporting</p>\n<p>· Identify and remediate AC and/or DC stray current electrical interference on pipelines</p>\n<p>· Produce cathodic protection engineering design deliverables</p>\n<p>· Organize and optimize survey information collected to prepare reporting charts and tables</p>\n<p>· Prepare field survey remedial recommendations and draft job reports for senior review</p>\n<p>· Prepare project scope and reference material for field crews; update project documents as required during the project lifecycle</p>\n<p>· Other work duties as assigned</p>\n<h2>Requirements</h2>\n<p><strong>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:</strong></p>\n<p>· Intermediate level Microsoft Excel/Visual Basic Application skills to support cathodic protection engineering data analysis and database management</p>\n<p>· Understanding of corrosion mechanisms, coatings, and mitigation methods</p>\n<p>· Excellent technical writing and communication skills</p>\n<p>· Proficient in CP modeling software and data acquisition systems</p>\n<p>· Ability to travel to field locations as needed</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Education:</strong></p>\n<p>· Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field</p>\n<p>· AMPP/NACE CP3 – Cathodic Protection Technologist is preferred, or the ability to pass the CP3 certification exam if not already obtained; CP2 Certification is required</p>\n<p>· 2+ years of experience in Cathodic Protection design and management</p>\n<p>· Valid driver’s license</p>\n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive salary</li>\n <li>Medical, dental, vision, and supplemental insurance</li>\n <li>401K Plan</li>\n <li>Paid Holidays</li>\n <li>Paid Time Off</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Working Conditions</h2>\n<p><strong>Working Conditions:</strong></p>\n<p>· Extreme cold and extreme heat environmental conditions, in and near hazards to include proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places in excess of 100 feet, exposure to high heat, extreme cold, or exposure to chemicals, in conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin such as fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.</p>\n<p>· Adaptable to changing schedules with willingness to travel regularly, including last minute and overnight travel.
