Working alongside pharmacy technicians and quality teams in a highly automated dispensing environment, this pharmacist role combines clinical verification, quality assurance oversight, and advanced pharmacy technology workflows supporting medication safety, workflow accuracy, and timely prescription fulfillment for Veterans nationwide.<br>\n<br>\nPractice within a centralized pharmacy environment supported by advanced automation, verification-focused workflows, and coordinated pharmacy operations that help ensure timely medication access for Veterans nationwide.<br>\n<br>\n<strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Verify prescription orders for legend medications, OTC products, Med/Surg items, and Schedule III–V controlled substances.</li><li>Perform drug utilization review, prescription assessment, and medication cross-checks at pharmacy checking stations.</li><li>Support advanced automation, medication verification, packaging, labeling, and quality assurance workflows within a high-throughput pharmacy environment.</li><li>Identify unusual doses, incorrect drugs, wrong strengths, or potential medication mix-ups and report concerns according to CMOP policies.</li><li>Supervise contracted Pharmacy Technicians and support compliance with VA, TJC, SOP, documentation, and reporting standards.</li><li>Dispense medications within corporate and regulatory guidelines, including controlled substance requirements and safe handling practices.</li></ul>",
