          "text": "<p>Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre is seeking a full-time Anesthesiologist for a short term 6-month assignment from June 2026 to December 2026. Join Nova Scotia's thriving healthcare ecosystem, where your expertise is valued and your contributions drive innovative, compassionate care for generations to come.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Provide care and coordination of community-based care, and secondary and tertiary level health care.&#xa0;</li><li>Operate within the <a href=\"https://nshdocs.morethanmedicine.ca/practicing-medicine-nova-scotia/immigration-compliance-resources\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bylaws and Rules and Regulations </a>of Nova Scotia Health Authority.&#xa0;</li><li>Participate in quality improvement and evaluation activities.</li><li>Work a full scope of practice as an anesthesiologist to provide care to the patients of Northern Zone. Surgical services include&#xa0;general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, ENT&#xa0;</li><li>participating in on-call and able to respond to urgent matters within 20 minutes of being called</li></ul><p><strong>Expected Hours</strong></p><ul><li>Short Term Assignment Full-Time (6 months)</li><li>Evening and Weekend Call Coverage</li></ul><p><strong>Remuneration</strong></p><ul><li>Locum - Guaranteed Daily Rate</li></ul><p>Locum physicians provide coverage for specialists. Compensation includes a minimum daily income guarantee of $1,600 for specialists ($800 for half-day), with additional earnings if shadow billings exceed this amount.</p><p>Travel expenses, including kilometrage, per diems, accommodations (up to $300 per night), and airfare (up to $1,500), are reimbursed, along with travel time up to 10 hours per week.
