    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Capacity Representative Position</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Description</span>:  The Capacity Representative position reports directly to the Operations Manager while working closely with Account Managers and Sales Representatives.  Capacity Representatives work in a competitive, fast -paced, and high-performance environment. </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Pre-Requisites:</span></p>\n<p>-Excellent communication skills</p>\n<p>-Basic understanding of the Logistics Industry</p>\n<p>- Proficient with computer-based shipping databases.</p>\n<p>- Excellent time management skills</p>\n<p>-Attention to detail</p>\n<p>-Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<p>- Manage load distribution from bookings to over the road (OTR) and delivery</p>\n<p>-Examine loads following pick up and upon delivery to verify conformance to customer specifications and DOT regulations</p>\n<p>-Oversee and manage OTR operations by tracking and tracing customer freight</p>\n<p>- Contract dedicated carriers dependent on domestic capacity</p>\n<p>- Ensure compliance with directives, DOT standards, and company policies</p>\n<p>- Negotiate carrier rates based upon market averages</p>\n<p> - Approve and issue accessorial payments</p>\n<p>- Administer carrier contracts with dedicate lane prices, terms and conditions, and other contract modifications and settlements</p>\n<p>-Participate in weekly team meetings to evaluate and adhere to customer needs</p>\n<p>- Collaborate with and assist Account Managers and Sales Executives</p>\n<p>- Participate in creating solutions to carrier “fall off”, claims and product OSD’s (overages, shortages, damages)</p>\n<p>- Analyze carrier insurance policies to ensure they comply with AMX policies</p>\n<p>- Work and familiarize with special operations such as transloading, dropping of trailers, power only, OSOW (oversized, overweight), and other special provisions</p>",
