    "description": "<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">The Assistant Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in creating a joyful, rigorous, and safe learning environment for all students. Assistant Teachers play a vital role in ensuring classrooms run smoothly, students receive individualized support, and the broader school community functions effectively. This role includes supporting instruction during the school day, supervising students during non-instructional times, and assisting with intersession programming as needed.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Key Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Support the Lead Teacher with daily classroom instruction in small-group, whole-group, and individualized learning settings.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Reinforce academic skills and learning goals through guided practice, intervention support, and enrichment activities.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Provide supervision and active engagement with students during lunch, recess, arrival, dismissal, and other non-instructional times.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Maintain a positive, structured, and safe classroom environment aligned with Atlas culture and behavior expectations.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Assist with classroom preparation, materials organization, bulletin boards, and learning space upkeep.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Monitor student progress and communicate observations to the Lead Teacher and grade-level team.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Support students with social-emotional development, conflict resolution, and positive peer interactions.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Occasionally provide classroom coverage and facilitate instruction when the Lead Teacher is absent or temporarily unavailable.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success and schoolwide initiatives.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Follow all Atlas policies, procedures, and safety protocols at all times.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Participate in professional development, coaching, and team meetings as assigned.</span></li>\n</ol>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Experience working with children in a school or youth setting strongly preferred</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Sub certificate required</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Commitment to Atlas’s mission, values, and belief in the potential of every child</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all situations</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Work Schedule</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Assistant Teachers are full-time, school-year employees.
