Collaborates with unit leadership, as appropriate.  Serves in preceptor role, as appropriate. </li>\n <li>Participates in the education experiences of students and/or RT interns.</li>\n <li>Continues professional development and involvement in professional activities that enhance the respiratory practice by sharing knowledge through networking and research.</li>\n <li>Utilizes evidenced based models of learning. </li>\n <li>Participates in department and hospital shared governance infrastructure and performance improvement activities.</li>\n <li>Assumes responsibility for own professional growth and development</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Basic UPH Performance Criteria          </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Demonstrates the UnityPoint Health Values and Standards of Behaviors as well as adheres to policies and procedures and safety guidelines.</li>\n <li>Demonstrates ability to meet business needs of department with regular, reliable attendance.</li>\n <li>Employee maintains current licenses and/or certifications required for the position.</li>\n <li>Practices and reflects knowledge of HIPAA, TJC, DNV, OSHA and other federal/state regulatory agencies guiding healthcare.</li>\n <li>Completes all annual education and competency requirements within the calendar year.</li>\n <li>Is knowledgeable of hospital and department compliance requirements for federally funded healthcare programs (e.g. Medicare and Medicaid) regarding fraud, waste and abuse.
