    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Interface with relevant departments to obtain a thorough understanding of NOV products and how they are safely operated, tested, calibrated and problems are resolved in a timely manner.</li>\n <li>Travel to customer sites to inspect, install, commission, test, calibrate, repair and train customers on the safe and proper operation of NOV products.</li>\n <li>Perform field upgrades of software and hardware and train customers on how to properly operate the system.</li>\n <li>Communicate field failures and feedback reports to the appropriate departments.</li>\n <li>Complete and submit field service documentation in a timely manner.</li>\n <li>Assure&nbsp;that&nbsp;results of&nbsp;work&nbsp;meet&nbsp;company&nbsp;quality standards.</li>\n <li>Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Utilize safe work habits.</li>\n <li>Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Install, commission, troubleshoot, and repair lifting and handling equipment such as cranes and hoists.</li>\n <li>Analog and digital PLC based systems.</li>\n <li>Variable frequency drives.</li>\n <li>Offshore cranes hydraulic/pneumatic systems extensive knowledge.</li>\n <li>Electrical systems (including various types of AC/DC motors).</li>\n <li>Mechanical systems (including fittings, gearboxes, and bearings).</li>\n <li>Provide training to other NOV personnel (and possibly customers) on aforementioned systems and equipment as needed.</li>\n <li>Provide accurate and timely report(s) to appropriate personnel regarding work progress and output.</li>\n <li>Collaborate frequently with internal and external customers.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li>\n <li>Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience working with offshore cranes.</li>\n <li>5 years of mechanical and hydraulic experience required.</li>\n <li>Must have working knowledge of analog and digital PLC based systems.</li>\n <li>Experience in the oil and gas environment preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>JOB REQUIREMENTS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to pass a drug screen &amp; background check.</li>\n <li>Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean record.</li>\n <li>Must have the ability to secure a passport and Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card.</li>\n <li>Onshore and offshore (domestic and international) travel for unknown durations with short notice.</li>\n <li>Overtime will be required – must be willing &amp; able to work nights, weekend, and on-call 24/7.\n  <ul>\n   <li>Unrestricted ability &amp; willingness to travel both domestically &amp; internationally.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Trainable attitude and an extreme amount of self-motivation required.</li>\n <li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, high stress, team environment for extended periods of time.</li>\n <li>Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical drawings.</li>\n <li>Must possess basic computer skills – email, filing of field reports, expenses.</li>\n <li>Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li>\n <li>Willingness to comply with all safety regulations and procedures.</li>\n <li>Ability to interact effectively with customer and contractor personnel.</li>\n <li>Work in harsh environments including rain, snow, heat, and heights in excess of 150 feet.</li>\n <li>Must provide transportation from home to the office.
