We seek employees who bring different and innovative ways of seeing the world and solving problems.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The McGuire Lab is seeking a <strong>Post-Doctoral Research Fellow</strong> to assist with the development of vaccines against human oncoviruses.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>At Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, all employees are expected to demonstrate a commitment to our values of collaboration, compassion, determination, excellence, innovation, integrity, and respect.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Analyze antibody and T cell responses to immunization</li>\n <li>Develop animal challenge models to assess vaccine efficacy</li>\n <li>Perform data analysis and prepare reports/manuscripts</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must hold PhD in immunology, microbiology, or a related field.</li>\n <li>Experience with both murine and non-human primate challenge models.</li>\n <li>Experience with analyzing viral-host protein interactions.</li>\n <li>Experience with mice and other small animal models.</li>\n <li>Experience with mammalian tissue culture.</li>\n <li>Experience with serological assays including neutralization assays.</li>\n <li>Experience with coordinating projects across institutes.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Expertise in mentoring junior scientists is preferred.</li>\n <li>Experience with flow cytometry is desirable.</li>\n <li>The candidate should have a proven track record of publication and strong written communication skills.</li>\n <li>Must be independent, show initiative, willingness to take up new skills and responsibilities, and be a team player.</li>\n <li>The candidate must be self-motivated, able to multitask and to work within a very collaborative environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The annual base salary range for this position is from $80,172 to $95,014, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications. This position may be eligible for relocation assistance.Although Fred Hutch is not sponsoring most H-1B visas at this time, candidates who already hold an H-1B sponsored by another organization and are currently in the U.S. may be eligible for this position.Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center offers employees a comprehensive benefits package designed to enhance health, well-being, and financial security.
