Responsibilities Has the ability and proficiency to setup and operate machines. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and help implement solutions. Maintain accurate records of production, including quantities produced, machine settings and any issues encountered. Ability to perform work at process speed and/or standard rates. Advises supervisor with any problems with tools, equipment, fixtures, materials, or setup operator. Maintains daily product and scrap records. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Production Manager. Keeps work station and surrounding area clean. Maintain all assigned tools. Any other duties are required by management Qualifications Must have 2 years of manufacturing experience at same location. Mechanically inclined or ability to troubleshoot mechanical equipment. Perform routine maintenance on machines including cleaning and lubricating machines. Must be willing to be cross trained on multiple roles. Must be able to read, write, and count. Strong attention to detail to ensure quality and accuracy in production. Good hand eye coordination. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive tasks. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues. Ability to work well in a team environment. Follow all plant and departmental safety rules and regulations. Ability to speak, read or write English preferred.
