This is not a lobbying role; the focus is on intelligence gathering, analysis, and strategic communication to internal stakeholders.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Legislative & Regulatory Monitoring</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Track federal legislation affecting Medicare Advantage, risk adjustment, quality measurement, and healthcare technology.</li>\n <li>Follow state-level Medicaid managed care regulations, quality requirements, and healthcare policy initiatives.</li>\n <li>Track emerging policy trends such as prior authorization reforms, price transparency, and value-based care regulations.</li>\n <li>Analyze proposed legislation (e.g., UpCode Act) and assess potential impacts on Cotiviti's products and customers.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Policy Analysis & Impact Assessment</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Prepare executive briefings, policy summaries, and impact assessments for leadership and product teams.</li>\n <li>Develop scenario analyses for major regulatory changes affecting risk adjustment and quality operations.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Stakeholder Engagement</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Translate complex policy language into business implications and actionable recommendations.</li>\n <li>Build relationships with industry associations (AHIP, RISE, ACHP) to gather early intelligence on policy developments.</li>\n <li>Monitor Congressional hearings, CMS listening sessions, and regulatory comment periods relevant to the business.</li>\n <li>Coordinate Cotiviti's participation in regulatory comment processes when strategically appropriate.</li>\n <li>Represent Cotiviti at policy conferences and industry forums focused on healthcare regulation.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Internal Communication & Collaboration</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide regular policy updates to Product, Sales, and Executive teams through structured briefings.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with Product Management to translate regulatory changes into product roadmap requirements.</li>\n <li>Support Marketing & Sales teams with compliant messaging and positioning in response to policy changes.</li>\n <li>Partner with Legal and Compliance on regulatory interpretation and risk assessment.</li>\n <li>Complete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting. </li>\n <li>Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned. </li>\n <li>Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation. </li>\n</ul>\n<p>This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed and is not to be construed as an exhaustive list of responsibilities, duties and skills required. This job description does not constitute an employment agreement and is subject to change as the needs of Cotiviti and requirements of the job change.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Healthcare Administration, Regulatory affairs, government programs, or related field.</li>\n <li>5-7 years of experience in healthcare policy, government affairs, or regulatory analysis.</li>\n <li>Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and ACA regulatory frameworks.</li>\n <li>Experience tracking and analyzing federal and state healthcare legislation.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex policy information into clear, actionable insights.</li>\n <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.</li>\n <li>Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple policy areas simultaneously.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Master's degree in Public Policy, Health Policy, or JD.</li>\n <li>Experience at CMS, HHS, Congressional health committee, or state health agency.</li>\n <li>Background in healthcare technology, health plans, or healthcare consulting.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with risk adjustment policy, quality measurement regulations, and interoperability standards.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Cognitive/Mental Requirements</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Master's degree in Public Policy, Health Policy, or JD.</li>\n <li>Experience at CMS, HHS, Congressional Health committee, or state health agency</li>\n <li>Background in healthcare technology, health plans, or healthcare consulting.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with risk adjustment policy, quality measurement regulations, and interoperability standards.</li>\n <li>Existing relationships with healthcare policy stakeholders and industry associations.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical Requirements and Working Conditions</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to provide high-speed internet access/connectivity and office setup and maintenance.</li>\n <li>Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area.</li>\n <li>Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.</li>\n <li>Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Base compensation ranges from $75,000 to $110,000 per year.
