    "description": "<p>Cascade Trauma and Acute Care Surgery (CTACS) is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (ARNP or PA-C) to join our cohesive group of APPs and Surgeons in providing outstanding care to the ACS and Trauma patients of Tacoma General Hospital.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>CTACS is a premier group of Surgeons and Advanced Practice Providers specializing in the full spectrum of Acute Care Surgery: Trauma, Surgical Critical Care, and Emergency General Surgery. CTACS is 100% physician owned and staffs MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital, a designated Level II trauma center. Patient complexity and acuity is high as Tacoma General Hospital is one of the South Puget Sound region’s busiest tertiary referral centers. Committed to excellence, our surgeons hold double board certification in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care, and our Advanced Practice Providers bring extensive clinical expertise. We aim to continually advance the practice of surgery and trauma and never accept the status quo. Our ideal candidate has the desire to practice at the top of their licensed qualifications.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of 2 years of Trauma, Surgical Critical Care, or Operating Room experience as an ARNP or PA-C required</li>\n<li>Top candidates must be teamwork oriented, adaptable, and able to thrive in a dynamic workplace</li>\n<li>Current Washington state license (or ability to obtain)</li>\n<li>Current Washington DEA registration (or ability to obtain)</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Duties:</span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide comprehensive care to ACS and trauma patients in collaboration with attending physicians</li>\n<li>Autonomously perform specialized patient procedures: Intubation, ventilatory management, arterial line placement, central venous catheter placement, chest tube insertion, conscious sedation, joint reduction, laceration repairs, POCUS</li>\n<li>First assist with a wide range of surgical procedures: laparoscopic/open, rib fixation, robotic assisted laparoscopic operations</li>\n<li>Assist in the evaluation, diagnosis, and management of acute care surgical patients, including those requiring emergency surgical intervention</li>\n<li>Coordinate and participate in patient rounds, providing updates on patient status, treatment plans, and discharge planning</li>\n<li>Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients admitted to the ICU, PCU, and med/surg floors, ensuring continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes</li>\n<li>Collaborate with rotating surgical residents, students, nursing staff, case managers, and other allied health professionals to facilitate efficient patient flow and transitions of care</li>\n<li>Provide continuity of care by managing trauma and acute care surgical patients in our out-patient clinic</li>\n<li>Participate in trauma and acute care surgery quality improvement initiatives, including M&amp;M reviews</li>\n<li>Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding their medical conditions, treatment options, and post-discharge care instructions</li>\n<li>Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters, procedures, and treatment plans in the electronic medical record system</li>\n<li>Provide mentorship to incoming employees as a part of our onboarding program</li>\n<li>Demonstrate a commitment to professional growth and development through ongoing education, training, and participation in departmental activities</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What We Offer:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br><br>CTACS offers a competitive total rewards package for full-time providers that includes:</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tiered compensation based on experience and qualifications (range of $152,006-$176,791) and quarterly patient experience/RVU performance incentive bonus potential after 1 year</li>\n<li>Relocation expense reimbursement potential</li>\n<li>Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and AD&amp;D, and Short-Term Disability insurance is offered to employees at no cost with the option to purchase additional coverage for dependents</li>\n<li>Paid Time Off (vacation, holidays, sick time) </li>\n<li>Market leading retirements savings including eligibility for 401(k) + Employer sponsored profit sharing potential</li>\n<li>Continuing education benefits including paid ATLS, licensing and registrations ($3,000 CME stipend per year)</li>\n<li>Malpractice insurance coverage including paid tail coverage</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Location:</span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>CTACS practices at MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital. Located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, Tacoma is the heart of the Puget Sound Metropolitan area. The city itself rests on the shores of Commencement Bay and the Puget Sound and between the Olympic and Cascade Mountain ranges. This allows for easy access to skiing, hiking, boating, fishing, and a multitude of other outdoor activities. Tacoma is within a few hours of some of the world’s best wineries.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Schedule:</span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Full-time employment is twelve 12-hour shifts each month, not including PTO.
