We are also proud to be consistently recognized as a top employer in both the D.C. metro area and the nation.</p>\n<p><strong>Featured Benefits:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Committed to Team Member Health:&nbsp;</strong>offering medical, dental and vision coverage, and a robust team member wellness program.</li>\n <li><strong>Retirement: &nbsp;</strong>Inova matches the first 5% of eligible contributions – starting on your first day.</li>\n <li><strong>Tuition and Student Loan Assistance:&nbsp;</strong>offering up to $5,250 per year in education assistance and up to $10,000 for student loans.</li>\n <li><strong>Mental Health Support:&nbsp;</strong>offering all Inova team members, their spouses/partners, and their children 25 mental health coaching or therapy sessions, per person, per year, at no cost.</li>\n <li><strong>Work/Life Balance:&nbsp;</strong>offering paid time off, paid parental leave, flexible work schedules, and remote and hybrid career opportunities.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Job Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Manage specimen accessioning and processing accurately/efficiently to provide quality specimens for Laboratory testing.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>To help achieve our mission, you will perform proper specimen and/or blood products collections by confirming patient/donor identification, collecting specimens in proper tubes, utilizing venipuncture/capillary techniques and accurately labeling the specimens/blood products to ensure accurate patient results.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Performing registration and reviewing billing information accurately/efficiently in order to ensure regulatory compliance is of vital importance.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Your ability to provide excellent patient and customer service by using AIDET principles and ensuring the correctness/quality of technical information/directions provided to customers is appropriate is required.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Traveling to assigned facilities and working seamlessly with teams to complete duties is expected.</li>\n <li>Insurances that all specimens received are done so accurately and prioritizes specimens after collections or as they arrive in the lab.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualificiations:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Minimum Education:&nbsp;</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>High School diploma or GED equivalent</li>\n   <li>Completion of Phlebotomy training required: completion certification from a Phlebotomy program or another Allied Health Training program, such as Medical Assistant, MLT or MT.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><strong>Experience:&nbsp;</strong>Three years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment, laboratory or physician office environment including two years of phlebotomy experience and registration experience.</li>\n <li><strong>Certification:</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association within 3 months of hire. HeartSaver for employees hired prior to April 22, 2019</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>",
