What You Will Do Reporting to   the Director of Real Estate  Development,  the  Development  Project  Mana g er oversees the planning  and construction  of housing development  projects on behalf of  GVHS.   Responsibilities  include but are not limited  to  overseeing construction and design teams to create new housing,  writing  affordable housing funding proposals, feasibility  studies , and  facilitated  stakeholder engagement  activities . What You Bring K nowledge and understanding of  Codes, Regulations,  L and and  R eal  E state  D evelopment,  L and  U se  P lanning Knowledge of  multifamily  real estate financing Strong abilities with  Share Point, Microsoft Word,  Excel  and Project  Mana g ement Software Ability to  develop   project proformas to assess the feasibility of a project Ability to read and understand drawings and  specifications Ability to make  decisions , assess situations and to  determine  the importance,  urgency  and risks and make clear decisions  which are  timely Ability to work cooperatively with other s   on  an interdisciplinary team Excellent written and oral communication,  presentation  and interpersonal skills Excellent decision-making and leadership capabilities Your Working Conditions O ccasional evening and weekend  work  as  required Must  have  a valid  BC  driver’s license and use of a reliable  vehicle Office  and Field work  environment s  – Business Casual Dress Code Due to the collaborative and site-based nature of housing development, this role requires regular in-office work at GVHS and frequent attendance at project sites. Remote work is not a standard  component  of this position. Compensation : $90,000 - $120,000 yearly salary. This is a excluded position working in a union environment.
