The Department of Physics and Astronomy in the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences at West Virginia University (WVU) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher. Under the leadership of Subhasish Mandal, the incumbent in this position will conduct research in the field of Physics. This is a full-time, 9-month, benefits-eligible position. This position will perform research in computational condensed matter physics. The skillset requires a Ph.D. in Physics or materials science. Advanced knowledge of computational approaches that go beyond the conventional density functional theory is required for performing research on the topic of computational quantum materials science. Responsibilities Responsibilities are functional in nature and performed under general supervision. Specific tasks include, but are not limited to: Perform computational research on condensed matter physics. Analyze results and publish them in peer-reviewed journals. Present the results in national and international conferences and workshops.
