    "description": "<p><span><span>The Fault Analysis Technician </span><span>is responsible for</span><span> the safe, controlled, and efficient day-to-day operation of fault analysis teardown and investigation activities</span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span><span>The role supports Fault Analysis Engineers in defining investigation requirements and ensures all activities are executed </span><span>in accordance with</span><span> approved procedures, with full traceability and documentation.</span><span> </span><span>They ensure that teardown and investigation outputs are </span><span>accurate</span><span>, complete, and recorded in line with Quality Management System requirements, enabling effective root cause analysis and customer reporting.</span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span><span>The Technician drives continuous improvement within the fault analysis workshop, ensuring safe working practices, optimised workflows, and effective utilisation of equipment and resources. This includes </span><span>maintaining</span><span> secure, controlled, and traceable handling of motors, components, and associated materials.</span><span> </span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span><span>The role requires on-site presence to provide direct supervision and support of investigations. Travel is limited to YASA locations.</span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span><span>Key responsibilities will include:</span></span></span><span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Ensure all fault analysis activities are conducted safely and </span><span>in accordance with</span><span> approved procedures and risk assessments.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Perform and oversee structured teardown and examination of motors and components in line with defined investigation requirements.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Manage and prioritise daily workflow based on investigation needs, returns volume, and customer impact.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Maintain </span><span>accurate</span><span>, complete, and traceable records of all activities and findings in line with Quality Management System requirements.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Control the secure handling, identification, and storage of motors, components, and evidence.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Maintain an organised, audit-ready workshop environment with calibrated and suitable tools and equipment.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n<li><span><span>Support Engineers by executing investigation procedures, tests, and experiments with disciplined data capture and adherence to defined methods.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n<li><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span><span>Skills and experience </span><span>required</span><span>:</span></span></span><span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>To have worked in a similar, relevant environment (e.g. automotive, aerospace, precision engineering).</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>To have worked in a practical, hands-on role and to be familiar with the use of hand tools and measuring equipment.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>The ability to construct simple test fixtures.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>A relevant apprenticeship, vocational qualification or technical certificate, or completion of a relevant technical vocational training scheme is desirable.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Experience of simple instrumentation, sensors and data logging systems is desirable.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Use of Microsoft Office programs – Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><span>Personal attributes </span><span>required</span></span><span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Attention to detail and a methodical approach.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Flexibility and the ability to succeed in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>A collaborative mindset and willingness to prioritise and support team </span><span>objectives</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>An enquiring and questioning mind, asking “why?” and “what if?</span><span>”.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Use of initiative and the desire to take ownership of tasks.</span></span></li>\n</ul>",
