This role must be carried out with adherence to Tecomet&#39;s values of continuous improvement, customer-driven innovation, and a &quot;win first&quot; culture while ensuring that the company&#39;s financial and performance metrics are met. The operator&#39;s primary duty is to ensure that the punch/laser machines are utilized efficiently to produce high-quality parts that meet the customer&#39;s requirements while minimizing waste and maximizing productivity. This is a 3rd shift position that offers a shift differential.&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Principle Responsibilities</u></strong></p><ul><li>Machine parts to specifications using documentation presented on routing/drawings and program hard copy.&nbsp;</li><li>Employ use of inspection methods to ensure the quality of production.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to perform entry-level problem-solving skills.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to run one or more machine types.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintains housekeeping and safety standards in work area.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Qualification Requirements</u></strong></p><p><strong>Credentials/Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>High School Diploma or GED. &nbsp;</li><li>1-2 years of experience loading and running machines&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge and proficiency in using standard measuring equipment&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to read and understand basic blueprints&nbsp;</li><li>Proficiency in basic mathematical operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred&nbsp;</li><li>Strong team player and ability to transition from one task to another&nbsp;</li><li>Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision&nbsp;</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to follow written procedures&nbsp;</li><li>Basic computer skills.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to read blueprint or schematics&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;#INDGEN1</p><p><strong><u>Other Requirements&nbsp;</u></strong></p><p><strong>Work Environment</strong></p><p>The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
