    "description": "<h2>Department Overview</h2>\n<p>Columbia Memorial Hospital (CMH), in partnership with the Knight Cardiovascular Institute at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) is seeking an experienced Cardiologist to join as a our Cardiology Medical Director in our non-invasive cardiology practice located in Astoria, Oregon. </p>\n<h2>Function/Duties of Position</h2>\n<p>Our cardiology team provides comprehensive cardiology care throughout the region at both our Astoria and Seaside clinic locations, providing care for a wide range of cardiac issues. We offer a full range of heart health services, procedures and administer heart disease prevention programs including a comprehensive cardiac rehabilitation program. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>As a cardiologist in a community-based practice, you will have a mix of inpatint and outpatient activities, cardiac consult services, interpretation of echocardiograms, nuclear studies, stress tests, device and medication management to provide high-level clinical care to cardiac patients. We offer a supportive environment with excellent clinical staff and the opportunity to be actively involved with specialized cardiology programs.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Our Opportunity Offers</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ideal four-day work schedule.</li>\n <li>Primarily ambulatory practice, with shared call requirements.</li>\n <li>Guaranteed base salary with annual quality incentives plus a Medical Director stipend.</li>\n <li>Hiring incentives including commencement bonus and relocation. </li>\n <li>Annual CME stipend with paid CME time. </li>\n <li>Paid time off, paid holidays and sick time.</li>\n <li>Comprehensive medical, dental and vision benefits.</li>\n <li>Retirement plan options with matching contributions.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Required Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience as a clinical cardiologist or general cardiologist. </li>\n <li>Competencies in echocardiogram, stress test, cardiac device and medication management.</li>\n <li>Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited medical school.</li>\n <li>Fellowship in Cardiology.</li>\n <li>Board Certification or Board Eligible in Cardiology/Cardiovascular diseases.</li>\n <li>Oregon Medical License.</li>\n <li>Ability to get Washington Medical license within 6 months of start date.</li>\n <li>DEA Certificate</li>\n <li>ACLS or BLS as required for clinical privileges.  </li>\n <li>Must be successfully credentialed by the CMH Professional Staff.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Additional Details</h2>\n<p><strong>About Columbia Memorial Hospital</strong></p>\n<p>Columbia Memorial Hospital (CMH) is the fastest growing rural hospital in Oregon, serving the healthcare needs of the northern Oregon coast with a collaborative relationship with Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU).
