Maybe you’re a nursing student, former CNA, Home Health Aide, or PCA looking to advance your skills and make a meaningful impact?</p>\n<p>Our <strong>PAID Nurse Aide Trainee Program</strong> at Elderwood of Uihlein is the perfect next step to gain hands-on experience and become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h3><strong>What We Offer:</strong></h3>\n<ul>\n <li><p><strong>NEW!</strong> Gas Allowance Stipend for Full & Part-Time positions</p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Pay-in-Lieu-of-Benefits</strong> program (earn 10% more!)</p></li>\n <li><p>Shift Differentials for weekdays and weekends</p></li>\n <li><p>Full benefits package (medical, dental, vision, and more)</p></li>\n <li><p>Tuition Assistance Program for clinical career tracks</p></li>\n <li><p>Newly renovated building in a scenic Lake Placid setting</p></li>\n <li><p>Employee referral bonus program</p></li>\n <li><p>Supportive team that values your role in resident care</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h3><strong>About the Nurse Aide Trainee Program:</strong></h3>\n<ul>\n <li><p>The program runs <strong>three weeks</strong>, Monday through Friday, generally 7:00am–3:00pm (hours may vary)</p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Weeks 1 & 2:</strong> Classroom instruction</p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Week 3:</strong> Clinical hands-on training alongside licensed clinicians</p></li>\n <li><p>Upon successful completion, you’ll be certified as a CNA — your pay and status will be upgraded accordingly</p></li>\n <li><p>Elderwood covers your <strong>CNA certification exam fees</strong> and required onboarding (e.g., PPD test, physical exam)</p></li>\n <li><p>Until training begins, you’ll be assigned a trainee shift working under supervision to gain experience</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Apply Today</strong> — start your journey to becoming a CNA with paid training and a supportive team by your side.Make a difference in the lives of seniors at <strong>Elderwood of Uihlein at Lake Placid</strong>!</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>(CNA Training Track - Support Aide):</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Transport residents or accompanies ambulatory residents as assigned to various locations in the building including the dining room, activity program areas, therapy or treatment areas.</li>\n <li>Make unoccupied resident beds, as assigned.</li>\n <li><p>Assist in the Dining Room with food service to residents, under the direction of licensed therapy staff; duties include passing trays, cutting meat, opening cartons or other containers.</p></li>\n <li><p>Distribute supplemental nourishments to residents who do not need to be fed, as directed.</p></li>\n <li><p>Conduct informal activities on the nursing unit when time permits, as directed.</p></li>\n <li><p>Supply fresh water in resident's rooms, as directed.</p></li>\n <li><p>Prepare bed and bedwear of resident's at hour of sleep, as assigned.</p></li>\n <li><p>Help keep general areas of the assigned nursing unit neat and orderly, as directed.</p></li>\n <li><p>Clean resident's equipment (wheelchair/geri chair, bed, etc.), as assigned.</p></li>\n <li><p>Keep the rooms of residents orderly, as assigned.</p></li>\n <li><p>Notify therapist of any unusual incidents regarding residents. </p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>From</h2>\n<h2>Up to</h2>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>(CNA Training Track - Support Aide):</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Sixteen (16) years of age required; high school diploma or equivalent required.</li>\n <li>Employment Certificate/Permit required for 16-17 years of age. </li>\n <li>No findings or convictions of resident abuse, mistreatment and misappropriation of property through any current or previous licensing agency.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors.
