          "text": "<p><strong>Position Summary &amp; Objective</strong></p><p>Set-up and operate CNC Lathe or Mill to produce precision parts and instruments.&#xa0; Plans CNC program to control contour-path machining of parts on automatic machine tools.</p><p><strong>Essential Functions Performed by the Position&#xa0;</strong></p><ul><li>Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, and other written instructions.</li><li>Requires knowledge of computers, electronics, computer numerical controls, basics of CNC programming, and computer-aided manufacturing.</li><li>Analyzes drawings, sketches, and design data of parts to determine dimension and configuration of cuts, selection of cutting tools, and machine speeds and feed rates according to knowledge of machine shop processes, part specifications, and machine capabilities.</li><li>Set-up and operate CNC lathes and/or mills.</li><li>Set-up parts to be machined with a wide range of size and configuration in the most efficient manner of processing.</li><li>Machine parts to prints per specified tolerances.</li><li>Determines reference points and direction of machine cutting paths.</li><li>Computes angular and linear dimensions, radii, and curvatures, and outlines sequences of operations required to machine parts.</li><li>Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards using in-process inspection tools and devices.</li><li>Work with engineers to produce quality parts to engineered specifications.</li><li>Writes instruction sheets and cutter lists to guide set-up and operation of machine.</li><li>Writes program of machine instructions to regulate movement of machine along cutting path.</li><li>Compares computer printout with original program sheet to assure accuracy of machine instructions.</li><li>Revises programs to eliminate instruction errors or omissions.</li><li>Observes operation of machine on trial run to prove programmed instructions.</li><li>Fills out quality and inspection paperwork.</li><li><strong>Must be able to work 2nd shift hours of 2:00pm - 10:30pm, Monday - Friday</strong></li></ul>",

          "text": "<p><strong>Required Education and Experience</strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>Five years’ experience in operating CNC lathes and/or mills.</li><li>Blueprint reading a plus.</li></ul><p><strong>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</strong></p><ul><li>Possess the physical strength and ability to properly handle tooling, and to safely set-up large work pieces.</li><li>Must own tools of the trade, and the ability to use them effectively.</li><li>Ability to operate overhead cranes and forklifts.</li><li>Ability to meet production requirements as specified.</li><li>Apply shop math with the understanding of geometric tolerance and dimensioning.</li><li>Ability to work with engineers and inspectors to produce quality parts to customer’s specifications.</li><li>Strong math aptitude.</li><li>Ability to use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, and other gauges).</li><li>Ability to use a feed and speed chart or a calculator.</li><li>Understanding of metal properties and appropriate cutting tools, appropriate feed rates, speeds, and depth of cuts.</li><li>Ability to program and operate CNC controls.</li><li>Ability to machine parts to specific tolerances.</li><li>Ability to verbally communicate with team members, supervisors, and engineers.</li><li>Able to work with coolant, solvents, and grease.</li></ul>",
