    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The EHS Specialist is responsible for consistently carrying out and promoting the EHS program of Mobis Alabama, training Team Members on applicable EHS-related matters, ensuring the company is in compliance with EHS laws and regulations, participating in audits and incident investigations, and carrying out resulting corrective actions.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong><u>Essential Functions</u></strong> <em>(To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)</em></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Evaluate EHS programs, procedures, and operations for compliance with applicable laws and regulations</li>\n <li>Promote implementation of health and wellness programs for all Mobis Alabama Team Members</li>\n <li>Assess workplace environments, equipment, and practices to identify hazards and complete new equipment checklists</li>\n <li>Ensure full compliance with EHS standards and government regulations</li>\n <li>Conduct hazard and operational control process assessments</li>\n <li>Recommend measures to help protect Team Members from potentially hazardous working conditions, methods, processes, or materials</li>\n <li>Participate in incident investigations to identify root causes of accidents</li>\n <li>Determine corrective actions to reduce the likelihood of accidents in the future</li>\n <li>Complete reports and analyze incidents to identify trends</li>\n <li>Conduct Safety Management Systems (SMS) audits, Environmental Management Systems (EMS) audits, and/or monthly EHS inspections and assist in corrective actions</li>\n <li>Train Team Members on proper use of powered industrial trucks, aerial lifts, tuggers, overhead cranes, and related industrial equipment</li>\n <li>Conduct EHS orientation for new Team Members</li>\n <li>Administer, coordinate, and comply with all EHS guidelines</li>\n <li>Prompt, regular, predictable attendance</li>\n <li>Physical presence at work during all scheduled work hours</li>\n <li>Overtime and weekend work as required</li>\n <li>All other job duties as assigned</li>\n <li>Assist the EHS department with headquarters reports, audits, campaigns, and other assignments (interpret Korean instructions for English speaking team)</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Supervisory Responsibilities: </strong> No </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations</li>\n <li>Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Management Systems</li>\n <li>Knowledge of heavy industrial equipment</li>\n <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint</li>\n <li>Good written and verbal communication skills</li>\n <li>Ability to speak and write fluently in both Korean and English</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Education & Experience:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent, plus 3 or more years of experience in an EHS-related position in a manufacturing environment OR</li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety & health or related field plus 1 or more years of experience in an EHS-related position in a manufacturing environment</li>\n <li>Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM)</li>\n <li>Registered Environmental Manager (REM)</li>\n <li>Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification</li>\n <li>CPR/First Aid/AED certification</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Working Conditions</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>30% office, 70% production floor</li>\n <li>Overtime as needed</li>\n <li>If an emergency occurs, TM may need to stay until issue is resolved</li>\n <li>Will be required to fill in on 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift due to EHS manning shortages/requirements</li>\n</ul>",
