As project delivery models, regulatory frameworks, supply chains, and technology continue to evolve, our ability to stay flexible and agile in our construction approach is essential to our success.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p>Field Engineering & Project Execution</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide technical support to field crews, ensuring accurate interpretation of drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.</li>\n <li>Oversee layout, surveying, and grade control to maintain project accuracy.</li>\n <li>Help manage and implement construction methodologies and best practices in collaboration with the superintendent and project team.</li>\n <li>Reports to and support superintendent in day-to-day tasks.</li>\n <li>Management of subcontractors scopes to ensure compliance with project specifications.</li>\n <li>Coordination and interface with other stakeholders which includes inspectors, subcontractors and suppliers.  </li>\n <li>Management of assigned Force Account work.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Quality Control & Safety Compliance</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Conduct field inspections to ensure work meets Shimmick’s quality standards and project specifications.</li>\n <li>Work with the Quality Control/Project team to document and resolve non-conformances.</li>\n <li>Assist in safety audits and enforce compliance with OSHA and Shimmick safety policies.</li>\n <li>Promote a safety-first culture by proactively identifying and mitigating potential hazards.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Scheduling & Cost Management</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist in developing, updating, and maintaining project schedules.</li>\n <li>Track material quantities, labor hours, and equipment utilization to support cost control efforts.</li>\n <li>Identify and help resolve potential project delays or budget overruns.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Communication & Coordination</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Work closely with the Project Team which includes project manager, engineers, superintendent and foremen to facilitate smooth execution.</li>\n <li>Prepare and track RFIs (Requests for Information), submittals, daily reports, and as-built documentation.</li>\n <li>Participate in daily and weekly construction meetings to discuss project progress and challenges.</li>\n <li>Serve as a liaison between the field and office, ensuring seamless communication and issue resolution.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Technology & Documentation</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Utilize construction management software such as Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Procore, Microsoft Office Packages, CMiC etc.</li>\n <li>Maintain organized field records and documentation for closeout and future reference.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Minimum Requirements:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree + 4 years of relevant heavy civil experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Preferred Qualifications:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>5+ years experience in heavy civil construction with an understanding of construction methods, means, and materials.</li>\n <li>Experience in waste water/water treatment plants, mechanical, and/or process piping.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.</li>\n <li>Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and technical documents.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.</li>\n <li>Effective leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to work in outdoor and high-paced field environments.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Additional Information:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.</li>\n <li>This position does not include sponsorship for a United States work authorization.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The salary range for this position is between $105,000- $125,000 per year depending on experience and/or education.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Shimmick's comprehensive benefits plan includes medical, dental and vision coverage; as well as options to participate in an FSA or HSA. The Company also provides employer paid STD, LTD, basic life and AD&D, and an Employee Assistance Program.
